Abstract

[Problems]Present invention develops and provides a stranded wire cylindrical sleeve compression method and compression device, which fits together and inserts a conventional cylindrical sleeve onto a stranded wire, and, matching the outer circumference of the sleeve to the outer circumferential surface of stranded wire, compresses the cylindrical sleeve. [Means to Solve the Problem]As a means for solving this problem, the compressor in the present invention is provided with a pair of handles, and a pair of jaws operated by said pair of handles, and a center portion of said pair of jaws being provided with a plurality of types of pairs of compression portions having a predetermined width and matching the cross-sectional outer circumferential shape of a stranded wire so as to be used for a plurality of cylindrical sleeve sizes, and with a use of the compression portion of said compression device, compressing the entire outer circumference of the cylindrical sleeve, to fully close a gap between the stranded wire and the cylindrical sleeve for full contact with each other, thus providing an increased contact surface area between the wire and the sleeve.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A stranded wire and cylindrical sleeve compression method, characterized by the fact that: when a stranded wire to be connected to a terminal insertion connecting portion of a power meter or a switch, etc. is compressed via a cylindrical sleeve (S), said stranded wire (SL) is pinched and compressed with an intersecting compression device ( 1 ) formed by opposing compression grooves that match the cross-sectional outer circumferential shape of the stranded wire (SL), compressing and securing the stranded wire (SL) and the sleeve (S).

2 . In a compression device for a cylindrical sleeve (S) for a stranded wire to be connected to terminal insertion connecting portions of a power meter or a switch, etc., said compression device ( 1 ) being characterized by being provided with a pair of handles ( 2 ), and being provided with a pair of jaws ( 3 ) operated by said pair of handles ( 2 ), and having a center portion of said pair of jaws ( 3 ) being provided with a plurality of types of pairs of compression portions ( 4 ) having a predetermined width (W) and matching a stranded wire (SL) cross-sectional outer circumferential shape so as to be used for a plurality of cylindrical sleeve (S) sizes, and with a use of the compression portion ( 4 ) of said compression device ( 1 ), compressing the entire outer circumference of the cylindrical sleeve (S), to fully close a gap between the stranded wire (SL) and the cylindrical sleeve (S) for full contact with each other, thus providing an increased contact surface area between the wire and the sleeve.
