Portable terminal

Abstract

A portable terminal displays a menu screen in which small screens respectively corresponding to categories are shown on display positions of a display unit, wherein the display positions respectively correspond to operation positions of an operation panel.

1 . A method of displaying menus responsive to a selection using an operation panel of a portable terminal, the method comprising: 
 displaying menus having selectable options at positions corresponding to activation keys of the operation panel, where respective selectable options of one of the menus are displayed when a user selects a corresponding activation key of the menu.    
   
   
       2 . A portable terminal, comprising: 
 an operation panel having function activation keys;    a display screen displaying menus at positions corresponding to the activation keys; and    a control unit activating and displaying selectable options within one of the menus when a corresponding activation key of the menu is selected.
