Excavator and backhoe attachment adapter

Abstract

An excavator and backhoe attachment adapter comprising a body having an arm attachment for connecting the adapter to an excavator or backhoe and an implement attachment for connecting the adapter to an implement such as a manbasket so that the manbasket may be used in conjunction with the excavator or backhoe to lift a payload such as a man, off the ground.

1 . An excavator and backhoe attachment adapter comprising; 
 A. a body, 
 I. the body having an arm attachment means,  
 II. the body having an implement attachment means:  
   
   
   
       2 . An excavator and backhoe attachment adapter according to  claim 1 , further comprising; 
 A. the body having a first hollow beam and an opposite, spaced apart second hollow beam,    B. the body having a first hollow cross beam and an opposite, spaced apart, second hollow cross beam, 
 I. the first hollow cross beam being attached to the first hollow beam and the second hollow beam,  
 II. the second hollow cross beam being attached to the first hollow beam and the second hollow beam.  
   
   
   
       3 . An excavator and backhoe attachment adapter according to  claim 2 , further comprising; 
 A. the arm attachment means including a mounting plate, 
 I. the mounting plate being attached to the first hollow beam and the second hollow beam,  
   B. the arm attachment means including a bushing mount, 
 I. the bushing mount being attached to the mounting plate,  
 II. the bushing mount having a bushing mount hole, 
 a. the bushing mount hole having bushing mount hole diameter,  
 
   C. the arm attachment means including a bushing, 
 I. the bushing having bushing exterior diameter, 
 a. the bushing exterior diameter being less than the bushing mount hole diameter,  
 
 II. the bushing being located within the bushing mount hole.  
   
   
   
       4 . An excavator and backhoe attachment adapter according to  claim 2 , further comprising; 
 A. the second hollow cross beam being tubular in form.    
   
   
       5 . An excavator and backhoe attachment adapter according to  claim 2 , further comprising; 
 A. the arm attachment means mounting plate including a cut out.    
   
   
       6 . An excavator and backhoe attachment adapter according to  claim 2 , further comprising; 
 A. the body having a brace,    I. the brace being attached to the first hollow beam and the second hollow beam, 
 II. the brace being located proximate to the second hollow cross beam.  
   
   
   
       7 . An excavator and backhoe attachment adapter according to  claim 2 , further comprising; 
 A. the implement attachment means being attached to the first hollow beam, the first cross beam and the second hollow beam.    
   
   
       8 . The implement attachment means according to  claim 7 , further comprising; 
 A. the implement attachment means being a plate having length, height, and thickness, 
 I. the implement attachment means having holes passing through the plate thickness,  
 II. the implement attachment means having a bottom lip.  
   
   
   
       9 . An excavator and backhoe attachment adapter according to  claim 1 , further comprising; 
 A. the body having a first hollow beam and an opposite, spaced apart second hollow beam,    B. the body having a first hollow cross beam and an opposite, spaced apart, second hollow cross beam, 
 I. the first hollow cross beam being attached to the first hollow beam and the second hollow beam,  
 II. the second hollow cross beam being attached to the first hollow beam and the second hollow beam, 
 a. the second hollow cross beam being box like in form.  
 
   
   
   
       10 . An excavator and backhoe attachment adapter according to  claim 2 , further comprising; 
 A. the arm attachment means including a mounting plate, 
 I. the mounting plate being attached to the first hollow beam and the second hollow beam,  
   B. the arm attachment means including a first upright arm attachment plate and an opposite and spaced apart second upright arm attachment plate, 
 I. the first upright arm attachment plate and the second upright arm attachment plate being parallel to one another,  
 II. the first upright arm attachment plate and the second upright arm attachment plate being identical to and mirror images of one another, 
 a. the first upright arm attachment plate having a first hole and a second hole passing through it, 
 i. the first upright arm attachment plate first hole and second hole each having an arm mount sleeve passing through and mounted within them.  
 
 
   
   
   
       11 . An excavator and backhoe attachment adapter according to  claim 10 , further comprising; 
 A. the second hollow cross beam being identical in form to the first hollow bean    
   
   
       12 . An excavator and backhoe attachment adapter according to  claim 10 , further comprising; 
 A. the arm attachment means mounting plate being attached to the second hollow cross beam.    
   
   
       13 . An excavator and backhoe attachment adapter according to  claim 10 , further comprising; 
 A. the implement attachment means being attached to the first hollow beam, the first hollow cross beam and the second hollow beam.    
   
   
       14 . The implement attachment means according to  claim 13 , further comprising; 
 A. the implement attachment means being a plate having length, height, and thickness, 
 I. the implement attachment means having holes passing through the plate thickness,  
 II. the implement attachment means having a bottom lip.  
   
   
   
       15 . An implement comprising; 
 A. a manbasket having adapter attachment means, 
 I. the adapter attachment means being sized and shaped for attachment to an implement attachment means.
