Toy and method for preparing a confectionary

Abstract

A toy for preparing frozen confectioneries comprising a base assembly, and a tray removably supported by the base assembly and having a pair of troughs. A cylinder assembly is rotatably supported by the base assembly and has pair of cylinders rotatably positioned in the pair of troughts. The toy also has a cover assembly supported by the base assembly, and a crank assembly rotatably supported by the cover assembly and coupled to the cyclinder assembly for rotating the pair of cylinders to prepare frozen confectioneries. A method for preparing frozen confectionaries with a toy. The pair of cylinders contain freezing salt and ice such that the liquid confectionary freezes when contacted by the cylinders.

1 . A toy for preparing frozen confectioneries comprising: 
 a base assembly;    a tray removably supported by the base assembly and having a first trough and a second trough;    a cylinder assembly rotatably supported by the base assembly and having a first cylinder rotatably positioned within the first trough and a second cylinder rotatably positioned in the second trough;    a cover assembly supported by the base assembly; and    a crank assembly rotatably supported by the cover assembly and coupled to the cyclinder assembly for rotating the first and second cylinders to prepare frozen confectioneries.    
   
   
       2 . The toy of  claim 1  additionally comprising ice and salt disposed in the first and second cylinders.  
   
   
       3 . The toy of  claim 1  additionally comprising a first liquid confectionary disposed in the first trough; and a second liquid confectionary disposed in the second trough.  
   
   
       4 . The toy of  claim 1  additionally comprising a scraper pivotally engaged to the tray.  
   
   
       5 . The toy of  claim 1  additionally comprising a scraper pivotally engaged to the base assembly.  
   
   
       6 . The toy of  claim 1  wherein said cylinder assembly comprises a pair of gears.  
   
   
       7 . The toy of  claim 3  wherein said first liquid confectionary comprises a different flavor than said second liquid confectionary.  
   
   
       8 . The toy of  claim 1  wherein said crank assembly comprises a circular gear plate, and a crank gear assembly coupled to the circular gear plate.  
   
   
       9 . The toy of  claim 8  wherein said crank gear assembly comprises a first cylindrical-shaped gear assembly and a second cylindrical-shaped gear assembly engaged to the first cylindrical-shaped gear assembly and coupled to the cylinder assembly.  
   
   
       10 . The toy of  claim 4  wherein said scraper is adapted to contact both the first and second cylinder.  
   
   
       11 . A method for preparing frozen confectionaries with a toy comprising: 
 providing a toy having a first cylinder, a second cylinder, and a tray including a first trough and a second trough;    disposing salt and ice in the first cylinder and in the second cylinder;    disposing a first liquid confectionary in the first trough of the tray;    disposing a second liquid confectionary in the second trough of the tray; and    rotating respectively the first cylinder and the second cylinder in the first trough and in the second trough for respectively contacting the first liquid confectionary and the second liquid confectionery and producing frozen confectioneries on the outside of the first and second cylinders.    
   
   
       12 . The method of  claim 11  additionally comprising removing frozen confectioneries from the outside of the first and second cylinders.
