Bench top grill assembly
Abstract
An bench top grill assembly includes at least a grilling body supporting a removable grill above a burner unit. A support member includes a plurality of receptacles and provides additional stability to the grilling body during transport, and on-board storage of utensils, condiments, or containers or other items improving convenience. Selective embodiments form the grilling body and the support member from non-flammable materials, including ceramic materials, increasing a user's safety. In at least one embodiment, a handle projects outwardly from the burner unit enabling a user to grip the cool tip of the handle and manipulate the unit for safety.

means for securing a heat source generally within a grill body element; a grate in said grill body element; said grate removably positioned above said heat source within a path of grilling heat rising upwardly from said heat source; a support member thermally spacing said grill body element from a supporting work surface, thereby minimizing a heating of said work surface during said grilling use; and a plurality of utensils for securing and holding a food item within said path of upwardly rising grilling heat.
2 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 1 , wherein:
said support member further comprises an outer wall portion projecting upwardly from said support surface to an outer rim portion and defining therein an inner volume having an receiving surface; and at least one raised portion on said support member projecting upwardly from said receiving surface effective to define at least one receptacle therein.
3 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 2 , wherein:
said at least one receptacle shaped to receive at least one of said plurality of utensils, at least one food product, at least one food product container, and said grill body element, whereby said at least one receptacle minimizes a shifting of said one relative to said support member during said grilling use and a transport thereby improving a safety of said bench top grill kit.
4 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 2 , wherein:
said heat source further comprises a fuel container effective to contain an external fuel element while allowing a flame to escape through a flame opening proximate said grate during a grilling use; and said fuel container further comprising at least a handle extending outwardly from said fuel container, whereby said handle minimizes an outwardly thermal transfer of said grilling heat to a tip region of said handle and enables a safe manipulation of said heat source during a grilling use.
5 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 4 , wherein:
said support member being at least one of a rotatable support member and a fixed support member.
6 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 5 , further comprising:
at least one receptacle on said support member.
7 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 6 , wherein:
said at least one receptacle shaped to receive at least one of said plurality of utensils, at least one food product, at least one food product container, and said grill body element, said at least one recess minimizing a shifting of said one relative to said support member during said grilling use and a transport, thereby improving a safety of said bench top grill kit is increased.
8 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 4 , wherein:
said fuel container further comprises means for regulation of a combustion of said flame from said external fuel element.
9 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 8 , wherein:
said means for regulation includes a plurality of combustion air ports proximate said flame opening adjustable through a movement of said handle relative to said fuel container.
10 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 1 , wherein:
said support member is a ceramic support member, whereby said ceramic support member is effective to minimize said thermal transfer to said supporting work surface.
11 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 10 , wherein:
said means for securing a heat source includes a grill body; and said grill body being a ceramic grill body, whereby said ceramic grill body is effective to additionally minimize said thermal transfer to said supporting work surface.
12 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 11 , further comprising:
at least one condiment container for containing said food item; and said condiment container being at least one of a wood, a metal, a plastic, a glass, and a ceramic condiment container.
13 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 1 , wherein:
said means for securing a heat source includes a grill body; and at least one of said grill body and said support member being a ceramic member, whereby said at least one ceramic body minimizes a thermal transfer to said supporting work surface.
14 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 13 , further comprising:
at least one condiment container for containing said food item prior to or after a grilling of said food item; and said condiment container being at least one of a wood, a metal, a plastic, a glass, and a ceramic condiment container.
15 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 1 , wherein:
said means for securing a heat source includes a grill body; said grill kit further comprises at least one condiment container for containing said food item prior to or after a grilling of said food item; and at least one of said grill body, said support member, and said condiment container being a ceramic member.
16 . A bench top grill kit, comprising:
means for securing a heat source generally centrally within a grill body element; a grate spanning an opening in said grill body element; said grate positioned above said heat source within a path of grilling heat rising upwardly from said heat source; at least one utensil for securing and holding a food product above said grate within said path of upwardly rising grilling heat; a support table member thermally spacing said grill body element from a supporting work surface, thereby minimizing a heating of said work surface during a grilling use; and said support table being at least one of a rotatable support table and a fixed support table.
17 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 16 , wherein:
said means for securing includes a fuel container effective to contain an external fuel element while allowing a flame to escape through a flame opening proximate said opening in said grill body element when said fuel element is in said fuel container.
18 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 16 , wherein:
said support table member further comprises an outer wall portion projecting upwardly from said support surface to an outer rim portion and defining therein an inner volume having an receiving surface; and at least one raised portion on said support member projecting upwardly from said receiving surface effective to define at least one receptacle therein.
19 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 18 , wherein:
said at least one receptacle shaped to receive at least one of said at least one utensil, said at least one food product, at least one food product container, and a portion of said grill body element, said at least one receptacle effective to minimize a shifting of said one relative to said support table member during said grilling use and a transport, thereby improving a safety of said bench top grill kit is increased.
20 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 16 , wherein:
at least one of said grill body element and said support table member is a ceramic member.
21 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 16 , further comprising:
at least one food product container for containing said food product prior to or after said grilling use; and at least one of said grill body element, said support table member, and said food product container is a ceramic member.
22 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 20 , wherein:
both said grill body element and said support table member are ceramic members.
23 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 21 , wherein:
both said grill body element and said support table member are ceramic members.
24 . A bench top grill assembly, comprising:
a grill body; said grill body being a rigid body defining an inner region and a top opening opposite an inner support means for supporting a means for grilling; at least a side opening in said grill body positioned between said top opening and said inner support means; a grill grate; said grill grate providing a divided access to said inner region of said grill body; said grill grate removably positional on said top opening and separable from said grill body during a use, whereby said top opening and said grill grate enable grilling over at least one of an open flame and a grated flame; a fuel container in said means for grilling; said fuel container operably capable of containing an external fuel element while allowing a flame to escape through a flame opening proximate said top opening when said fuel container is supported by said inner support means; a support member spacing said grill body from a supporting work surface, thereby minimizing a heating of said work surface during a use; and said support member being at least one of a rotatable support member and a fixed support member relative to said work surface.
25 . A bench top grill assembly, according to claim 24 , further comprising:
a handle extending from said fuel container; and said handle projecting through said side opening away from said grill body during said use, whereby said handle does not become heated and is easily grasped during a use to facilitate a safe operation of said bench top grill.
26 . A bench top grill assembly, according to claim 24 , wherein:
said grill body and said support member are substantially formed from a ceramic material, thereby minimizing said thermal transfer to said work surface during said use.
27 . A bench top grill assembly, according to claim 26 , wherein:
said fuel container includes at least one means for adjusting a fuel combustion in said fuel container during or after said use.
28 . A bench top grill assembly, comprising:
a grill body; said grill body being a rigid continuous body substantially bounding an inner volume and defining at least a top opening opposite an inner bottom surface; means for producing thermal energy in said grill body; a grill grate on said top opening and separable from said grill body and enabling a divided outwardly flow of said thermal energy from said means for producing through said top opening; a support member spacing said grill body from an external work surface; said support member is at least one of a rotatable support table and a fixed support table; said support member further comprising an outer wall portion projecting upwardly from said support surface to an outer rim portion and defining therein an inner volume having an receiving surface; and at least one raised portion on said support member projecting upwardly from said receiving surface effective to define at least one receptacle therein.
29 . A bench top grill assembly, according to claim 28 , wherein:
said at least one receptacle is shaped to receive at least one of said plurality of utensils, at least one food product, at least one food product container, and said grill body element, said at least one recess minimizing a shifting of said one relative to said support member during said grilling use and a transport, thereby improving a safety of said bench top grill kit is increased.
30 . A bench top grill assembly, comprising:
a grill body; said grill body being a rigid body defining a centrally positioned support portion for supporting a means for producing thermal energy in said grill body; a grill grate removably positioned on said grill body for enabling a divided outwardly flow of said thermal energy from said means for producing through a top portion of said grill body; a support member spacing at least said grill body from an external work surface; said means for producing thermal energy including a handle element, whereby said means for producing enables a safe upwardly direction of said thermal energy during a use while said handle element provides a simple means for grasping said means for producing prior to or after said use; and at least one utensil for suspending an item to be grilled within said outwardly flow of said thermal energy thereby enabling a grilling of said item.
31 . A bench top grill assembly, according to claim 31 , wherein:
said support member further comprises an outer wall portion projecting upwardly from said support surface to an outer rim portion and defining therein an inner volume having an receiving surface; and at least one raised portion on said support member projecting upwardly from said receiving surface effective to define at least one receptacle therein.
32 . A bench top grill assembly, according to claim 31 , wherein:
said at least one receptacle is shaped to receive at least one of said at least one utensil, at least one food product, at least one food product container, and said grill body element, said at least one receptacle minimizing a shifting of said one relative to said support member during said grilling use and a transport, thereby improving a safety of said bench top grill kit is increased.
33 . A bench top grill assembly, according to claim 32 , wherein:
said support member is at least one of a generally cylindraceum shape and a rectilinear shape along an outer periphery.
34 . A bench top grill assembly, according to claim 33 , wherein:
said grill body is formed as at least one of a frusto-conical shape, a pot-bellied shape, and a pseudo-frustum shape, each said shape effective to bound said centrally positioned support portion, and receive said means for providing thermal energy.
35 . A bench top grill assembly, comprising:
a ceramic grill body; said grill body being a rigid continuous body bounding an inner volume and defining at least a top opening opposite an inner bottom surface; one side of said grill body having at least a side opening arrayed along a plane positioned substantially perpendicular to said top opening and said inner bottom surface; a grill grate; said grill grate providing a divided access to an inside of said grill body; a grill grate removably positional on said top opening and separable from said grill body during a use, whereby said top opening and said grill grate enable grilling over at least one of an open flame and a grated flame; a fuel container; said fuel container operably capable of containing an external fuel element while allowing a flame to escape through a flame opening proximate said top opening when said fuel container is inserted in said bounded inner volume; a handle extending from said fuel container; and said handle projecting through said side opening away from said grill body during said use, whereby said handle does not become heated and is easily grasped and facilitates a safe removal of said fuel container from said grill body after a use.
36 . A bench top grill assembly, according to claim 35 , wherein:
said grill body is formed as at least one of a frusto-conical shape, a pot-bellied shape, a cylindraceum shape and a pseudo-frustum shape, each said shape effective to bound said inner volume during said use.
37 . A bench top grill assembly, according to claim 36 , in combination with:
a support table; and said support table being constructed from a ceramic material.
38 . A bench top grill kit, comprising:
means for securing a heat source generally centrally within a ceramic grill body element; a grate in said grill body element removably positioned above said heat source within a path of grilling heat rising upwardly from said heat source; at least one utensil for securing a food item above said heat source within said path of upwardly rising grilling heat; a support member thermally spacing said grill body element from a work surface, thereby minimizing a heating of said work surface during a grilling use; and said support member including a non-flammable surface, whereby burning food items falling onto said support member do not damage or ignite said support member.
39 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 38 , further comprising:
at least one receptacle formed in said support member; said support member is formed from at least one of a ceramic material and a metal, thereby eliminating any risk of igniting said support member; and said support member being at least one of a rotatable support table and a fixed support table.
40 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 39 , wherein:
said at least one receptacle shaped to shiftably-secure at least one of said food item, said at least one utensil, at least one food item container, and said ceramic grill body element, said at least one receptacle minimizing a shifting of said one relative to said support member during said grilling use and a transport, whereby a convenience and a safety of said bench top grill kit is increased.
41 . A bench top grill kit, according to claim 40 , wherein:
said heat source includes a handle extending outwardly from a fuel container, whereby said handle minimizes an outwardly thermal transfer of said grilling heat to a tip region of said handle and enables a safe manipulation of said heat source during said grilling use.
42 . A bench top grill assembly, comprising:
means for securing a heat source generally centrally within a ceramic grill body element; a grate in said grill body element; said grate removably positioned above said heat source within a path of grilling heat rising upwardly from said heat source; a support member thermally spacing said grill body element from a supporting work surface, thereby minimizing a heating of said work surface during a grilling use; and said support member being a ceramic member, whereby said support member is easily cleaned, and hot or ignited items-being-grilled falling onto said support member during said grilling use cannot ignite said support member.
43 . A bench top grill assembly, according to claim 42 , further comprising:
at least one receptacle on a top surface of said support member; and said at least one receptacle being shaped to receive at least one of a plurality of utensils, at least one item-for grilling, at least one container, and said ceramic grill body element, said at least one receptacle minimizing a shifting of said one relative to said top surface during said grilling use and a transport, whereby a convenience and a safety is improved.
44 . A bench top grill assembly, comprising:
a ceramic grill body being a rigid body bounding an inner region and a top opening opposite an inner support means; at least a side opening in said grill body positioned between said top opening and said inner support means; a grill grate removably providing a divided access to said inner region, enabling a grilling over at least one of an open flame and a grated flame; a fuel element while allowing a flame to escape through a flame opening proximate said top opening when said fuel element is on said inner support means; a support member spacing said grill body from a supporting work surface, thereby minimizing a heating of said work surface during a use; and said support member being an inflammable member, whereby items-being-grilled falling onto said support member will not ignite or damage said support member thereby improving user safety.
45 . A bench top grilling assembly, comprising:
a grill body being a rigid ceramic body bounding an inner volume and defining a top opening; a grill grate spanning said top opening and providing a divided access to an inside of said grill body; means for producing a thermal energy within said grill body and providing an upwardly flow of thermal energy passing through said top opening during a use; a support member thermally spacing said grill body from a supporting work surface, thereby minimizing a heating of said work surface during a use; said support table being inflammable and at least one of a rotatable support table and a fixed support table; and a handle projecting outwardly from said fuel container.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
