Abstract
A folding seat for an aircraft has a backrest, a seat area and an armrest. The seat area is pivotable. When the seat area is pivoted, the armrest is pivotable downwards.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A folding seat for an aircraft, comprising:
a backrest; a seat area; and an armrest; wherein the seat area is pivotable; and wherein the armrest is downwards pivotable, when the seat area is pivoted.
2 . A folding seat according to claim 1 ,
wherein the seat area may be pivoted upwards against the backrest; and wherein a pivoting of the seat area against the backrest causes a downwards folding of the armrest.
3 . A folding seat according to claim 2 ,
wherein the seat area and the armrest are coupled in a force-closed manner.
4 . A folding seat according to claim 3 ,
wherein the seat area and the armrest are coupled by means of at least one coupling element, wherein the at least one coupling element is selected from a group consisting of a coupling rod, a bevel gear, a hydraulic coupling element, a pneumatic coupling element, a transmission chain and a coupling by means of cogwheels.
5 . A folding seat according to claim 1 ,
wherein the folding seat is adapted to be disposed at a corridor in an aircraft; and wherein the armrest is provided at a side of the folding seat which faces the corridor.
6 . A folding seat according to claim 1 ,
wherein the folding seat is adapted to be part of a seat group for a passenger cabin of an aircraft.
7 . A folding seat according to claim 1 ,
wherein the armrest is disposed in such a way that the armrest is aligned substantially in parallel to a longitudinal direction of the aircraft, when the folding seat is disposed in a passenger cabin of an aircraft.
8 . A seat group for a vehicle, comprising:
a first seat; and a second seat; wherein the first seat has a backrest, a seat area and an armrest; wherein the seat area is pivotable; and wherein the armrest may be pivoted downwards when folding the seat area.
9 . A seat group according to claim 8 ,
wherein the seat area is pivotable upwards against the backrest; and wherein a pivoting of the seat area against the backrest causes a downwards pivoting of the armrest.
10 . A seat group according to claim 8 ,
wherein the seat area and the armrest are coupled in a force-closed manner.
11 . A seat group according to claim 8 ,
wherein the seat group is adapted to be arranged at a corridor in an aircraft; wherein the first seat is adapted to be arranged adjacent to the corridor; and wherein the armrest is arranged at one side of the first seat facing the corridor.
12 . An aircraft comprising:
a folding seat comprising a backrest; a seat area; and an armrest; wherein the seat area is pivotable; and wherein the armrest is downwards pivotable, when the seat area is pivoted.
13 . An aircraft comprising:
a seat group comprising a first seat; and a second seat; wherein the first seat has a backrest, a seat area and an armrest; wherein the seat area is pivotable; and wherein the armrest may be pivoted downwards when folding the seat area.
14 . A method for guiding passengers to a seat of an aircraft, wherein the aircraft has a corridor and a seat arranged adjacent to the corridor, wherein the seat has a seatback, a seat area and an armrest, wherein the method comprises:
pivoting the seat area against the seatback; and downwards pivoting of the armrest.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
