Delivery system for a medicament or well-being enhancing composition

Abstract

A delivery system ( 1 ) for a medicament or well-being enhancing composition, comprising a flexible member ( 3 ), means ( 5 ) for attaching the flexible member ( 3 ) to fabric to form a pocket and an absorbent pad ( 7 ) for impregnation with the medicament or well-being enhancing composition arranged such that when the flexible member ( 3 ) is attached to a piece of fabric a pocket is formed shaped and sized such the pad may be received and held securely within the pocket but is removable therefrom. The fabric is typically part of a garment ( 25 ) or bed-linen.

A delivery system for a medicament or well-being enhancing composition, comprising a flexible member, means for attaching the flexible member to fabric to form a pocket and an absorbent pad for impregnation with the medicament or well-being enhancing composition arranged such that when the flexible member is attached to a piece of fabric a pocket is formed shaped and sized such the pad may be received and held securely within the pocket but is removable therefrom.  
   
   
       2 . A delivery system according to  claim 1 , in which the flexible member comprises an iron on adhesive on one surface, the flexible member being positioned by the user on a fabric and then ironed into place to secure it.  
   
   
       3 . A delivery system according to  claim 1 , in which the flexible member comprises a pocket.  
   
   
       4 . A delivery system according to  claim 1 , in which the flexible member comprises a sheet of material which forms the pocket with the fabric when attached in place.  
   
   
       5 . A delivery system according to  claim 3 , in which the pocket comprises closure means.  
   
   
       6 . A delivery system according to  claim 1 , in which the pad is supplied impregnated with a medicament or well-being enhancing composition.  
   
   
       7 . A delivery system according to  claim 1 , in which the pad is supplied separately from a medicament or well-being enhancing composition for impregnation just before insertion into the pocket.  
   
   
       8 . A medicament delivery system according to  claim 1 , in which the medicament is a vaporized decongestant or an essential oil.  
   
   
       9 . A medicament delivery system according to  claim 1 , in which the medicament is a muscle relaxant.  
   
   
       10 . A medicament delivery system according to  claim 1 , in which the well-being enhancing composition comprises an insect repellent.  
   
   
       11 . A medicament delivery system according to  claim 1  in which the well-being enhancing composition comprises a fragrance or a perfume.  
   
   
       12 . A medicament delivery system according to  claim 1  in which the flexible member is decorative or carries advertising matter.  
   
   
       13 . A medicament delivery system according to  claim 1  in which the flexible member is a muslin, net or mesh material.  
   
   
       14 . A medicament delivery system according to  claim 1  in which the means for attaching the flexible member to fabric comprises any of the following: stitching; a self-adhesive.

Fabric comprising a pocket characterized in that the pocket is arranged to receive an absorbent pad impregnated with medicament or well-being enhancing composition, the pocket being shaped and sized such that the pad may be received and held securely within the pocket but is removable therefrom.  
   
   
       16 . Fabric according to  claim 15  characterized in that the pocket comprises a closure means.  
   
   
       17 . A fabric according to  claim 15  in which the medicament or well-being enhancing composition is any of the following: a vaporized decongestant or an essential oil; a muscle relaxant; an insect repellent; a fragrance or a perfume.

A garment comprising a pocket characterized in that the pocket is arranged to receive an absorbent pad impregnated with medicament or well-being enhancing composition, the pocket being shaped and sized such that the pad may be received and held securely within the pocket but is removable therefrom.  
   
   
       19 . A garment according to  claim 18  characterized in that the pocket comprises a closure means.  
   
   
       20 . A garment according to  claim 18  in which the medicament or well-being enhancing composition is any of the following: a vaporized decongestant or an essential oil; a muscle relaxant; an insect repellent; a fragrance or a perfume.  
   
   
       21 . A kit comprising an adsorbent pad impregnated with a medicament or a well-being enhancing composition and flexible member together with means for attaching the flexible member to a fabric to form a pocket such that when the flexible member is attached to a fabric a pocket is formed shaped and sized such that the pad may be received and held securely within the pocket but is removable therefrom.  
   
   
       22 . A kit according to  claim 21  in which the medicament or well-being enhancing composition is any of the following: a vaporized decongestant or an essential oil; a muscle relaxant; an insect repellent; a fragrance or a perfume.  
   
   
       23 . A delivery system according to  claim 4 , in which the pocket comprises closure means.
