Adjustable scaffold hanger

Abstract

An adjustable scaffold hanger has a vertical riser that is adjustable in the vertical direction by means of holes and a pop-pin. Attached at the top of the vertical riser is a horizontally adjustable scaffold hanger that has an “L” flange on the end. The distance between the flange and the vertical part of the scaffold hanger can be adjusted by holes and a pop-pin. Located at the bottom of the vertical riser and perpendicular to it, is a walk board strengthened by a brace attached between the vertical and horizontal pieces. An “L” shaped flange is attached at the corner between the vertical and horizontal pieces to stabilize the device. A vertical outer end of the walk board support keeps the planks in place and may allow for the placement of a rope or other safety rail on the scaffold device.

1 : A pair of adjustable hanger supports for securing walk boards to a wall, each adjustable hanger support comprising: 
 (a) an adjustable vertical riser having vertical adjusting holes and a pop-pin;    (b) a horizontal walk board support perpendicularly attached to the lower end of said riser;    (c) an upper, adjustable hanger bracket perpendicularly attached to the upper end of said riser having width adjusting holes and a pop-pin.    
   
   
       2 : A pair of adjustable hanger supports for securing walk boards to a wall as in  claim 1 , wherein said vertical riser comprises a lower, outer vertical riser section having a securing hole therein and an upper, inner vertical riser section having parallel adjusting holes therein for adjusting the vertical height of the scaffold system.  
   
   
       3 : A pair of adjustable hanger supports for securing walk boards to a wall as in  claim 1 , wherein said upper hanger support comprises an outer horizontal hanger support perpendicularly attached to the upper end of the vertical riser and an inner horizontal hanger adjusting piece slidably located in said hanger support for adjusting the hanger bracket in the horizontal direction, adapted to accommodate the width of various construction walls or surfaces.  
   
   
       4 : A pair of adjustable hanger supports for securing walk boards to a wall as in  claim 1 , each support further comprising an outer, essentially vertical walk board support edge.  
   
   
       5 : A pair of adjustable hanger supports for securing walk boards to a wall as in  claim 4 , further comprising a safety rail, said rail having one end attached to one of a pair of outer walk board support edges and the other end attached to the other outer walk board support edge.  
   
   
       6 : A pair of adjustable hanger supports for securing walk boards to a wall as in  claim 1 , further comprising perpendicular riser swivel adjusting holes located on the upper vertical riser section on a surface perpendicular to said parallel riser vertical adjusting holes.
