Abstract
A sport swing analysis system creates a three dimensional virtual environment and relates swing parameter measurements to the three dimensional virtual environment.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A golf system comprising
swing sensing apparatus configured to sense the motion of a golf club; a controller configured to analyze the motion of the golf club; and the controller further configured to produce a three dimensional virtual environment for the golf swing.
2 . The golf system of claim 1 wherein the three dimensional virtual environment is a driving range.
3 . The golf system of claim 1 wherein the three dimensional virtual environment is a golf course.
4 . The golf system of claim 1 wherein the three dimensional virtual environment is a putting green.
5 . The golf system of claim 1 further comprising a display wherein the controller is configured to display a view of the golf virtual environment in relation to the analyzed motion of the golf club.
6 . The golf system of claim 5 wherein the controller is configured to display a spin view of the virtual environment.
7 . The golf system of claim 5 wherein the controller is configured to display a view of struck golf ball's flight path from above the ball within the virtual environment.
8 . The golf system of claim 5 wherein the controller is configured to display a view of struck golf ball's flight path from ground level within the virtual environment.
9 . The golf system of claim 6 wherein the controller is configured to display a view of struck golf ball's flight path tracking along with the golf ball as it flies through the virtual environment.
10 . A method comprising the steps of:
sensing the motion of a golf club with a swing sensing apparatus; analyzing with a controller the motion of the golf club; and producing with the controller a three dimensional virtual environment for the golf swing.
11 . The method of claim 10 wherein the step of producing a three three dimensional virtual environment comprises the step of producing a three dimensional virtual driving range.
12 . The method of claim 10 wherein the step of producing a three dimensional virtual environment comprises the step of producing three dimensional virtual golf course.
13 . The method of claim 10 wherein the step of producing a three dimensional virtual environment comprises the step of producing a three dimensional virtual putting green.
14 . The method of claim 10 wherein the step of producing a three dimensional virtual environment comprises the step of producing a view of the golf virtual environment in relation to the analyzed motion of the golf club.
15 . The method of claim 14 wherein the step of producing a three dimensional virtual environment comprises the step of producing a view of the golf virtual environment in relation to the analyzed motion of the golf club including a spin view of the virtual environment.
16 . The method of claim 14 wherein the step of producing a three dimensional virtual environment comprises the step of producing a view of the golf virtual environment in relation to the analyzed motion of the golf club including a view of struck golf ball's flight path from above the ball within the virtual environment.
17 . The method of claim 14 wherein the step of producing a three dimensional virtual environment comprises the step of producing a view of the golf virtual environment in relation to the analyzed motion of the golf club including a view of struck golf ball's flight path from ground level within the virtual environment.
18 . The method of claim 15 wherein the step of producing a three dimensional virtual environment comprises the step of producing a view of the golf virtual environment in relation to the analyzed motion of the golf club including a view of struck golf ball's flight path tracking along with the golf ball as it flies through the virtual environment.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
