Carrier for footwear
Abstract
A convenient and efficient carrier for athletic shoes and the like is provided. The carrier has a connecting strap that is of a predetermined length. The connecting strap has two ends, with each end affixed to a quick release member. The quick release member is comprised of an engaging barrel portion and a heel barrel portion, with the heel barrel portion affixed to the end of the connecting strap. The engaging barrel portion is adaptable for connecting to a shoe that has a securing member inserted into the shoe's heel. The securing member has a tool portion and a receiving barrel portion, with the tool portion capable of boring a hole into the heel of the shoe and the receiving barrel portion allowing for connecting to the engaging barrel portion of the quick release member. Once the quick release member is connected to the securing member in the heel of the shoe, the carrier can be utilized to transport shoes.

a connecting strap having a predetermined length and two ends; a pair of quick release members each one of said pair having an engaging barrel portion and a heel barrel portion whereby said heel barrel portion is affixed to said end of connecting straps; a pair of securing members a respective one of said pair having a receiving barrel portion and a tool portion, whereby one of said receiving barrel portions adaptably receives said engaging barrel portion; and a housing member detachably mountable to said connecting strap.
2 . The carrier of claim 1 wherein said housing member is comprised of rigid plastic material suitable for gripping by hand.
3 . The carrier of claim 2 wherein said housing member includes an adjustable means for varying said length of said connecting strap.
4 . The carrier of claim 1 wherein said housing member is comprised of textile woven flexible material.
5 . The carrier of claim 4 wherein said housing member includes an adjustable means for varying said length of said connecting strap.
6 . The carrier of claim 1 wherein said housing member is comprised of leather material.
7 . The carrier of claim 6 wherein said housing member includes an adjustable means for varying said length of said connecting strap.
8 . The carrier of claim 1 wherein said connecting strap is comprised of rope material.
9 . The carrier of claim 1 wherein said connecting strap is comprised of elastic material.
10 . The carrier of claim 1 having a pair of shoes and said tool portion is adaptable for attaching to a heel of said respective shoe.
11 . A carrier for shoes comprising:
a connecting strap having a predetermined length and two ends; a pair of quick release members each one of said pair having an engaging barrel portion and a heel barrel portion whereby said heel barrel portion is affixed to said end of connecting strap; a pair of shoes each one of said pair having a receiving barrel portion whereby said receiving barrel portion adaptably receives said engaging barrel portion; and a housing member detachably mountable to said connecting strap.

20 . A method for enabling convenient and efficient transport of shoes comprising:
selecting a pair of shoes; preparing said pair of shoes for transport by attaching a securing member having a tool portion and a receiving barrel portion into a heel of each one of said shoe with said tool portion creating a hole in said heel of said shoe and said receiving barrel portion being exposed; connecting said pair of shoes by attaching said receiving barrel portion to an engaging barrel portion whereby a quick release member comprises said engaging barrel portion and a heel barrel portion wherein said heel barrel portion is attached to an end of a connecting strap; and mounting a detachable housing member onto said connecting strap.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
