Abstract

My invention is solely designed to save lives and to help to protect property from severe damage. It is designed to withstand temperatures up to 1000 degrees F. It will slow or even stop airflow inside the wall cavities. This in turn will give families to have more time to escape the structure without getting hurt or even losing there lives. This will also give firefighters more time to arrive on the scene. Soon, I hope to have my invention lower insurance rates to the homeowners and business owners. With less air moving in the wall cavities it will reduce the spread fire and smoke. This procedure is called fireblocking. My units are made of .024 gauge galvanized sheet metal with a G-60 coating. It will be very easily installed and inexpensive. These units are designed to be installed between each stud of a wall. These units will be used in future new construction and remodeling. These are codes approved by the Codes Inspectors and the Fire Chief here in middle Tennessee.
