Abstract
An inflatable bed includes an inflatable main chamber having a top panel, a top cover attached to the top panel of the main chamber to define a sealed chamber between the top cover and the top panel, and a padding provided in the sealed chamber. The padding provides a solid cushion between the person and the main chamber, so that when a person sleeps on the bed, the person actually lays on the padding and not the top panel of the main chamber, thereby increasing the level of comfort and simulating the feeling of sleeping on a regular bed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An inflatable bed, comprising:
an inflatable main chamber having a top panel; a top cover attached to the top panel of the main chamber to define a sealed chamber between the top cover and the top panel, the top cover having a periphery; a padding provided in the sealed chamber; and an inflatable tube attached around the periphery of the top cover.
2 . The inflatable bed of claim 1 , wherein the main chamber is defined by four side walls, the top panel, and a bottom panel.
3 . The inflatable bed of claim 2 , further including an inlet valve provided in one of the four side walls, the top panel, or the bottom panel.
4 . The inflatable bed of claim 2 , further including a comfort control valve provided in one of the four side walls, the top panel, or the bottom panel.
5 . The inflatable bed of claim 1 , wherein the padding is formed of an open cell visco-elastic foam.
6 . The inflatable bed of claim 2 , wherein the four side walls, the top panel, and the bottom panel are made of PVC.
7 . The inflatable bed of claim 1 , wherein the top panel is made of a fabric with a PVC backing.
8 . The inflatable bed of claim 1 , wherein the sealed chamber retains the padding in a loose-fitting manner.
9 . The inflatable bed of claim 1 , further including an adjustable valve provided in the top cover for adjusting the amount of air inside the sealed chamber.
10 . (canceled)
11 . An inflatable bed, comprising:
an inflatable main chamber having a top panel and a comfort control valve provided on the main chamber; a top cover attached to the top panel of the main chamber to define a sealed chamber between the top cover and the top panel, the top cover having a periphery; an open cell visco-elastic foam padding provided in the sealed chamber; an adjustable valve provided in the top cover for adjusting the amount of air inside the sealed chamber; and an inflatable tube attached around the periphery of the top cover.
