Abstract
A gaming terminal door handle assembly having a handle pivotably arranged on a support plate and an arrangement depending from the handle, configured to transfer force from the handle to a latch in the gaming terminal door in order to open or close the door is disclosed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A door handle assembly, comprising:
a support plate having a front side and a back side, wherein an aperture is disposed in the support plate; a handle pivotably arranged on the front of the support plate, wherein a cam shaft configured to be arranged in the aperture depends from the handle; and a cam follower disposed on the back of the support plate, coupled to the cam shaft.
2 . The door handle assembly of claim 1 , wherein the door handle assembly is configured to transfer force from the handle to a latch in order to move the latch.
3 . The door handle assembly of claim 1 , further comprising:
a retaining device configured to retain the handle in one of an open position and a closed position.
4 . A door handle assembly, comprising:
a support plate having a front side and a back side, wherein an aperture is disposed in the support plate; a handle pivotably arranged on the front of the support plate; and a roller bearing arrangement depending from the handle, configured to transfer force from the handle to a latch in order to move the latch.
5 . A gaming terminal, comprising:
a housing; a door movably attached to the housing, wherein the door is secured by a latch disposed in the housing; and a door handle assembly attached to one of the door and the housing, the door handle assembly including
a support plate having a front side and a back side, wherein an aperture is disposed in the support plate,
a handle pivotably arranged on the front of the support plate, wherein a cam shaft configured to be arranged in the aperture depends from the handle, and
a cam follower disposed on the back of the support plate, coupled to the cam.
6 . The gaming terminal of claim 5 , wherein the door handle assembly is configured to transfer force from the handle to the latch in order to move the latch.
7 . The gaming terminal of claim 5 , further comprising:
a retaining device configured to retain the handle in one of an open position and a closed position.
8 . The gaming terminal of claim 5 , further comprising:
electronic components disposed in the housing, the electronic components accessible by opening the door.
9 . The gaming terminal of claim 5 , further comprising:
at least one of a monitor, a processor, a gaming ticket printer, a money receptor, and a card reader.
10 . A gaming terminal, comprising:
a housing; a door movably attached to the housing; and a door handle assembly attached to one of the door and the housing, the door handle assembly including
a support plate having a front side and a back side, wherein an aperture is disposed in the support plate,
a handle pivotably arranged on the front of the support plate, and
a roller bearing arrangement depending from the handle, configured to transfer force from the handle to a door latch in the gaming terminal, to one of open and close the door latch.
11 . The gaming terminal of claim 10 , further comprising:
a retaining device configured to retain the handle in one of an open position and a closed position.
12 . The gaming terminal of claim 10 , further comprising:
electronic components disposed in the housing, accessible by opening the door handle assembly.
13 . The gaming terminal of claim 10 , further comprising:
at least one of a monitor, a processor, a gaming ticket printer, a money receptor, and a card reader.
14 . A gaming terminal, comprising:
a housing; a door movably attached to the housing; a door latch disposed in the housing; an extension member movably attached to the housing; and means for transferring a force imparted on the extension member to the door latch, to one of open and close the door latch.
15 . The gaming terminal of claim 14 , further comprising:
a retaining device configured to retain the handle in one of an open position and a closed position.
16 . The gaming terminal of claim 14 , further comprising:
electronic components disposed in the housing, accessible by opening the door.
17 . The gaming terminal of claim 14 , further comprising:
at least one of a monitor, a processor, a gaming ticket printer, a money receptor, and a card reader.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
