Apparatus and method for data processing, and storage medium
Abstract
A technology is disclosed to enable a transfer to be made quickly and easily to a screen layout and an audio output mode preferred by a user when there is a change in an input source. Past viewing and listening history information regarding the attribute and the output state of an input source is stored beforehand, for example, which input source was viewed and listened to in what screen and audio structure, or which multi-window displaying a transfer was made to when an interrupt input source came in, depending on a relationship with a video being viewed and listened to at the time. Then, when an image regarding the input source is displayed, a screen layout and an audio output state are determined, and controlled based on the viewing and listening history information.

65 . A data processing apparatus comprising:
an input portion for inputting data, wherein the data input by said input portion includes image data obtained by receiving a broadcast signal; and a control portion for outputting a signal for causing an image represented by the image data to be displayed in a display state determined by using information indicating at least one of media, genre, and title of the data input by said input portion and an application to be used for displaying, and at a position determined by using information indicating an attribute of the data input to said input portion.
66 . The apparatus according to claim 65 , wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating an attribute of the input data and information as to usage history of the apparatus.
67 . A receiving apparatus comprising:
a receiving portion for receiving a broadcast signal; and a control portion for outputting a signal for causing an image represented by image data obtained from the broadcast signal to be displayed in a display state determined by using information indicating at least one of media, genre, and title of the broadcast signal and an application to be used for displaying, and at a position determined by using information indicating an attribute of the broadcast signal.
68 . The apparatus according to claim 67 , wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating an attribute of the data and information as to usage history of the apparatus.
69 . A data processing apparatus comprising:
an input portion for inputting data, wherein the data input to said input portion includes video data obtained by receiving a broadcast signal, and wherein the video data is data for displaying a broadcast program; and a control portion for outputting a signal for causing an image represented by the video data to be displayed in a display state determined by using information indicating at least one of media, genre, and title of the program, whole length in time of the program, time when the program is displayed, time which has elapsed from a start of displaying the program, date when the program is displayed, and day of the week when the program is displayed, and at a position determined by using information indicating an attribute of the video data.
70 . The apparatus according to claim 69 , wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating an attribute of the input data and information as to usage history of the apparatus.
71 . A receiving apparatus comprising:
a receiving portion for receiving a broadcast signal for a broadcast program; and a control portion for outputting a signal for causing an image represented by video data obtained from the broadcast signal to be displayed in a display state determined by using information indicating at least one of media, genre, and title of the program, whole length in time of the program, time when the program is displayed, time which has elapsed from a start of displaying the program, date when the program is displayed, and day of the week when the program is displayed, and at a position determined by using information indicating an attribute of the program.
72 . The apparatus according to claim 71 , wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating an attribute of the data and information as to usage history of the apparatus.
73 . A data processing apparatus comprising:
an input portion for inputting data, wherein the data input to said input portion includes video data obtained by receiving a broadcast signal, and wherein the video data is data for displaying a broadcast program; and a control portion for outputting a signal for causing an image represented by the video data to be displayed at a position determined by using information indicating an attribute of the data input to said input portion, and in a display state determined by using information indicating a broadcast channel of the program.
74 . The apparatus according to claim 73 , wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating an attribute of the inputting data and information as to usage history of the apparatus.
75 . A receiving apparatus comprising:
a receiving portion for receiving a broadcast signal for displaying a broadcast program; and a control portion for outputting a signal for causing an image represented by video data of the program to be displayed at a position determined by using attribute information of the signal received by said receiving portion, and in a display state determined by using information indicating a broadcast channel of the program.
76 . The apparatus according to claim 75 , wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating an attribute of the received signal and information as to usage history of the apparatus.
77 . A data processing apparatus comprising:
an input portion for inputting data, wherein the data input to said input portion includes image data obtained by receiving a broadcast signal; and a control portion for outputting a signal for causing an image represented by the image data to be displayed with a size determined by using information indicating an attribute of the data input to said input portion, and in a display state determined by using information indicating at least one of media, genre, and title of the data input by said input portion and an application to be used for displaying.
78 . The apparatus according to claim 77 , wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating an attribute of the input data and information as to usage history of the apparatus.
79 . A receiving apparatus comprising:
a receiving portion for receiving a broadcast signal; and a control portion for outputting a signal for causing an image represented by image data obtained by receiving the broadcast signal by said receiving portion, to be displayed with a size determined by using information indicating an attribute of the signal received by said receiving portion, and in a display state determined by using information indicating at least one of media, genre, and title of the received data and an application to be used for displaying.
80 . The apparatus according to claim 79 , wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating an attribute of the received signal and information as to usage history of the apparatus.
81 . A data processing apparatus comprising:
an input portion for inputting data, wherein the data input to said input portion includes image data obtained by receiving a broadcast signal for displaying a broadcast program; and a control portion for outputting a signal for causing an image represented by the image data to be displayed with a size determined by using information indicating an attribute of the data input to said input portion, and in a display state determined by using information indicating at least one of media, genre, and title of the program, whole length in time of the program, time when the program is displayed, time which has elapsed from a start of displaying the program, date when the program is displayed, and day of the week when the program is displayed.
82 . The apparatus according to claim 81 , wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating an attribute of the input data and information as to usage history of the apparatus.

a receiving portion for receiving a broadcast signal for displaying a broadcast program; a control portion for outputting a signal for causing an image represented by image data obtained by receiving the broadcast signal by said receiving portion, to be displayed with a size determined by using information indicating an attribute of the signal received by said receiving portion, and in a display state determined by using information indicating at least one of media, genre, and title of the program, whole length in time of the program, time when the program is displayed, time which has elapsed from a start of displaying the program, date when the program is displayed, and day of the week when the program is displayed.
86 . The apparatus according to claim 85 , wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating an attribute of the received signal and information as to usage history of the apparatus.

an input portion for inputting data, wherein the data input to said input portion includes image data obtained by receiving a broadcast signal for displaying a broadcast program; and a control portion for outputting a signal for causing an image represented by the image data to be displayed with a size determined by using information indicating an attribute of the data input to said input portion, and in a display state determined by using information indicating a broadcast channel of the program.
88 . The apparatus according to claim 87 , wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating an attribute of the input data and information as to usage history of the apparatus.
89 . A receiving apparatus comprising:
a receiving portion for receiving a broadcast signal for displaying a broadcast program; and a control portion for outputting a signal for causing an image represented by image data obtained by receiving the broadcast signal by said receiving portion to be displayed with a size determined by using information indicating an attribute of the signal received by said receiving portion, and in a display state determined by using information indicating a broadcast channel of the program.
90 . The apparatus according to claim 89 , wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating an attribute of the received signal and information as to usage history of the apparatus.
91 . A display apparatus comprising:
a receiving portion for receiving data for displaying a program from an input source; a control portion for determining the input source by using time information and determining a display state in which the program is displayed, wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating at least one of time, date, and day of the week; and a display for displaying the program.
92 . The apparatus according to claim 91 , wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating an attribute of the data and information as to usage history of the apparatus.
93 . A data processing apparatus comprising:
an input portion for inputting data for displaying a broadcast program; and a control portion for determining a channel of the broadcast program by using information indicating at least one of time, date, and day of the week, and determining a display state in which the program is displayed, wherein the display state is determined by using information indicating at least one of time, date, and day of the week.
94 . A display apparatus comprising:
a control portion for determining a channel of the broadcast program by using information indicating at least one of time, date, and day of the week, and determining display size and display position of the broadcast program by using information indicating at least one of time, date, and day of the week; and a display for displaying the program.
