Pallet jack stop
Abstract
The pallet jack stop is a rectangular, durable, portable, molded, rubber body having a wheel cradle for restraining the movement of the pivot wheel(s) of a warehouse style pallet jack defined in a top side of the body. One edge of the body is beveled or ramped. The opposite side of the cradle may include a handle integrally constructed with the body of the device. The handle may be located elsewhere on the body of the pallet jack stop, or may be eliminated entirely. Recesses are formed in a bottom surface of the pallet jack stop body, whereby the amount of material used in construction of the pallet jack stop is reduced to reduce the weight and manufacturing costs of the pallet jack stop. The cradle's construction meets all safety and environmental requirements and is structurally stable for heavy cyclic loading under a wide range of environmental conditions.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A pallet jack stop, comprising:
a body having a top side, a bottom surface defining a bottom plane, a ramp end, and a handle end; a cradle defined in the top side of said body, the cradle having a flat bottom and at least one sidewall, the flat bottom having top and bottom surfaces, the bottom surface lying within said bottom plane, the sidewalls being substantially perpendicular to the flat bottom; a ramp defined in the top side of the ramp end of said body, the ramp sloping away from said cradle.
2 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 1 , wherein the bottom surface of said body has at least one recess defined therein.
3 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 2 , wherein said at least one recess comprises a deep perimeter recess.
4 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 2 , wherein said at least one recess comprises a plurality of rectangular recesses located below said ramp.
5 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 2 , wherein said at least one recess comprises a plurality of recesses distributed below said cradle.
6 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 1 , wherein said body is made from a resilient material.
7 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 1 , wherein said body is made from dense natural rubber.
8 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 1 , wherein said body is made from dense synthetic rubber.
9 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 1 , further comprising a handle extending from said handle end.
10 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 9 , wherein said body and said handle are made in one piece.
11 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 9 , wherein said handle is a U-shaped grip.
12 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 1 , wherein said cradle is rectangular in shape.
13 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 1 , wherein said recess has four sidewalls and a bottom wall defining a substantially rectangular cradle.
14 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 1 , wherein said body is substantially rectangular in shape.
15 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 9 , wherein said body and said handle are made from dense rubber and molded in one piece.
16 . A pallet jack stop for temporarily preventing rolling movement of a pallet jack, comprising:
a body having a top side, a bottom surface defining a bottom plane, a ramp end, and a handle end; a substantially rectangular cradle defined in the top side of said body, the cradle having a flat bottom and at least one sidewall, the flat bottom having top and bottom surfaces, the bottom surface lying within said bottom plane, the sidewalls being substantially perpendicular to the flat bottom; a ramp defined in the ramp end of the top side of said body, the ramp sloping away from said cradle.
17 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 16 , further comprising a handle extending from said handle end.
18 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 17 , wherein said body and said handle are made in one piece.
19 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 17 , wherein said handle is a U-shaped grip.
20 . The pallet jack stop according to claim 19 , wherein said body and said handle are made from dense rubber and molded in one piece.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
