Device and method for multiple analyte detection
Abstract
A method for making a test device is provided. The method can comprise providing (a) a substrate comprising a plurality of wells, wherein each well comprises at least one dimension no greater than 1 mm; (ii) a robotic dispensing system comprising at least one piezoelectric dispenser; and (iii) a liquid solution comprising at least one analyte-specific reagent. The method further comprises delivering a volume of the liquid solution into at least some of the wells using the at least one piezoelectric dispenser. The volume can be no greater than about 1 microliter. The method can further comprise placing a cover over the wells.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for making a test device, comprising:
providing (a) a substrate comprising a plurality of wells, wherein each well comprises at least one dimension no greater than 1 mm; (ii) a robotic dispensing system comprising at least one piezoelectric dispenser; and (iii) a liquid solution comprising at least one analyte-specific reagent; delivering a volume of said liquid solution into at least some of said wells, using said at least one piezoelectric dispenser, wherein said volume is no greater than about 1 microliter; and placing a cover over said wells.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising, prior to said placing, at least partially drying said liquid solution.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said drying is effected, at least in part, by baking.
4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said drying is effected, at least in part, by reduced pressure.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said cover seals said wells.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said cover is optically transparent.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein each of said wells comprises at least one dimension no greater than 0.2 mm.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said substrate comprises at least 49 wells within an area no greater than 3 cm×2 cm.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said at least one reagent comprises at least two oligonucleotides primers and a detectable probe.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said robotic dispensing system comprises a plurality of piezoelectric dispensers.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
