Bezel having multiple protective covers and connection paths
Abstract
A housing of a welding-type device includes a bezel which encloses a plurality of electrical receptacles and a plurality of terminal posts of the welding-type device. The bezel has a first and a second opening corresponding to each terminal post. The plurality of first openings has hinged covers attached to the bezel over the openings. The plurality of second openings is uninterrupted through the bezel and constructed such that the bezel provides strain relief to a welding cable which passes therethrough. The covers are formed such that they allow passage of an electrical cable through the first opening with the cover in a closed position.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A bezel comprising:
a control window; a cover array attached to the control window and having a uniform pivot axis; and an opening separated from the control window by the cover array and having a dividing web.
2 . The bezel of claim 1 wherein the dividing web has a honey-comb shaped.
3 . The bezel of claim 1 wherein the cover array further comprises a plurality of terminal post covers and a plurality of outlet covers individually pivotable about the pivot axis.
4 . The bezel of claim 1 further comprising a hinge pin.
5 . The bezel of claim 3 further comprising at least two cable openings for each of the terminal post covers.
6 . The bezel of claim 1 further comprising a lateral rib between the cover array and the opening.
7 . The bezel of claim 6 further comprising a cable opening through the lateral rib.
8 . The bezel of claim 1 wherein the cover array further comprises at least one cover having a cable protrusion and a cable recess so that the at least one cover can be closed with a cable passing there under and there behind.
9 . The bezel of claim 1 wherein the cover array further comprises five independently pivotable covers.
10 . A bezel comprising:
a display passage; a plurality of covers configured to pivotally permit and restrict access to a plurality of electrical connections; a ventilation passage separated from the display passage by the plurality of covers; and a screen configured to restrict debris from passing through the ventilation passage.
11 . The bezel of claim 10 wherein at least one of the plurality of covers further comprises a protrusion located centrally therein.
12 . The bezel of claim 10 wherein the protrusion is configured to allow passage of a cable therethrough while restricting debris from passing thererthrough.
13 . The bezel of claim 10 wherein the plurality of covers is pivotally connected along a common axis.
14 . The bezel of claim 10 wherein each of the plurality of covers is individually pivotable to permit and restrict access to the plurality of electrical connections individually.
15 . The bezel of claim 10 further comprising at least one lateral rib separating the plurality of covers from the ventilation passage.
16 . The bezel of claim 15 further comprising a cable opening configured to permit a cable to pass through the lateral rib.
17 . The bezel of claim 16 wherein the cable opening is further configured to align with at least one of the plurality of covers to allow a cable to pass through the lateral rib to the at least one of the plurality of covers.
18 . A bezel comprising:
a control panel display passage; a pivot point connected to the control panel display passage; a cover array connected to the pivot point and configured restrict access to a plurality of terminal posts and electrical outlets; a vent separated from the display passage by the cover array; and a honey-combed ventilation screen configured to cover at least a portion of the vent.
19 . The bezel of claim 18 wherein at least one cover of the cover array includes an arc-shaped opening formed therein to allow passage of a cable thereunder to at least one of the plurality of terminal posts and electrical outlets.
20 . The bezel of claim 18 wherein each of the covers of the cover array is independently rotatable at the pivot point to selectively permit access to the terminal posts and electrical outlets.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
