Bullhorn cup

Abstract

A beverage cup or container that is usable as a bullhorn device is disclosed. The cup is preferably made of a disposable material, such as paper, molded plastic or foam. The cup has a hollow body portion, shaped to form a cylinder or cone, with an open first end, and a second end located distal from the first end. The second end has a removable, or selectively separable, portion formed by a perforation in a base portion. A pull tab or other device may be provided to aid in separation of the removable portion from the body portion.

1 . A cup capable of containing beverages that is transformable into a bullhorn device, comprising: 
 a body portion forming a hollow cup structure with an open first end, and a closed second end;    a base portion at the second end of the body portion, wherein the base portion has an edge that includes a seal; and    a pull ring circumscribing the edge of the base portion, wherein at least a part of the base portion is selectively separable from the body portion by actuation of the pull ring;    wherein upon separation of the part of the base portion, the body portion is usable as a bullhorn device.    
     
     
         2 . The cup of  claim 1 , wherein the hollow cup structure comprises a conical frustum shape.  
     
     
         3 . The cup of  claim 1 , wherein the hollow cup structure comprises a cylindrical shape.  
     
     
         4 . The cup of  claim 1 , further comprising a weakened separation line circumscribing the edge of the base portion wherein the separation line delineates a part of the base portion for separation from the body portion upon actuation of the pull ring.  
     
     
         5 . The cup of  claim 1 , wherein the body portion has an inside and an outside, wherein the cup further comprises handles folded against the outside of the body portion, and wherein the handles are unfoldable.  
     
     
         6 . The cup of  claim 1 , wherein the base portion includes a keepsake.  
     
     
         7 . The cup of  claim 6 , wherein the keepsake is selected from the group consisting of: memorabilia card, a business card, a trading card, a souvenir, a compact disk and a patch.  
     
     
         8 . A method of providing a cup capable of containing beverages that is transferable into a bullhorn device, comprising: 
 providing an edge circumventing a base portion for separation of the base portion from a body portion of the cup; and    providing a pull ring for separating at least a separable part of the base portion from the body portion of the cup upon actuation of the pull ring, wherein upon separation of the separable part of the base portion, the body portion is usable as a bullhorn device.    
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the body portion has a conical frustum shape.  
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the body portion has a cylindrical shape.  
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 8 , further comprising providing a weakened separation line circumscribing the edge of the base portion, wherein the separation line delineates the separable part of the base portion.  
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the body portion has an inside and an outside, wherein the cup further comprises handles folded against the outside of the body portion, the method further comprising unfolding the handles.  
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 8 , further comprising providing a keepsake included in the base portion.  
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 13 , wherein the keepsake is selected from the group consisting of: memorabilia card, a business card, a trading card, a souvenir, a compact disk and a patch.
