Abstract

This invention relates to a novel DNA encoding Eimeria glyceroaldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) and recombinant GAPDH protein expressed using the DNA sequence. The present invention further provides the recombinant vector or virus containing this DNA. The chickens immunized by the recombinant virus or recombinant GAPDH protein described herein can be induced immunity against coccidiosis.

         9 . A vaccine composition for coccidiosis comprising, as a main ingredient: 
 a recombinant virus, the DNA sequence of said recombinant virus comprising a DNA sequence encoding  Eimeria  glvceroaldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) of the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO. 2.

         15 . A vaccine composition for coccidiosis comprising, as a main ingredient: 
 a recombinant avipox virus or herpes virus, the DNA sequence of said recombinant virus comprising a DNA sequence encoding  Eimeria  glyceroaldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) of the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO. 2.    
     
     
         16 . The vaccine composition according to  claim 15 , further comprising an additional ingredient, which is phosphate buffer saline and/or a preservative.  
     
     
         17 . The vaccine composition of  claim 15 , wherein said DNA sequence encoding  Eimeria  glyceroaldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) has the DNA sequence shown in SEQ ID NO. 1.
