Electronic image pickup apparatus

Abstract

An electronic image pickup apparatus has a housing which houses an electronic image pickup unit, an image display unit, a memory unit, and a photographic information display unit. The housing includes a photographic information display window arranged in an upper surface thereof so that information relating to photography displayed on the photographic information display unit can be seen from an outside thereof, and an image display window arranged in a back surface thereof so that an image displayed on the image display unit can be seen from the outside thereof. At least one operating member for selecting photographic information displayed on the photographic information display unit is arranged near to the photographic information display window on the housing, and at least one operating member for operating the image display unit is arranged near to the image display window on the housing.

1 . An electronic image pickup apparatus comprising: 
 an electronic image pickup unit which electronically picks up an image;    an image display unit which displays the electronically picked up image;    a memory unit which stores the electronically picked up image;    a photographic information display unit which displays information relating to photography;    a housing which has an upper surface and a back surface and which houses the electronic image pickup unit, the image display unit, the memory unit, and the photographic information display unit, the housing including a photographic information display window which is arranged in the upper surface of the housing and through which information relating to photography displayed on the photographic information display unit can be seen from an outside of the housing and an image display window which is arranged in the back surface of the housing and through which the image displayed on the image display unit can be seen from the outside of the housing;    at least one operating member which is arranged near to the photographic information display window on the housing and which selects photographic information displayed on the photographic information display unit; and    at least one operating member which is arranged near to the image display window on the housing and which operates the image display unit.

An electronic image pickup apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one operating member which selects photographic information displayed on the photographic information display unit is arranged on the back surface of the housing, and the at least one operating member which operates the image display unit is arranged on the back surface of the housing.

An electronic image pickup apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein the at least one operating member which operates the image display unit is arranged on the back surface of the housing such that the at least one operating member is operated by a right hand of a user who uses the electronic image pickup apparatus while the right hand holds the housing.  
   
   
       4 . An electronic image pickup apparatus according to  claim 3 , wherein the photographic information includes a photographic record delete mode, and, when the at least one operating member selects the photographic record delete mode, the photographic record delete-mode is displayed on the photographic information display unit and the electronically picked up image stored in the memory unit and being unnecessary is erased from the memory unit.
