Abstract
Poles for a tent are attached along edges of sidewalls for the tent and are asymmetrically spaced from the edges. A middle portion of each pole is spaced apart a maximum distance from the central portion of the respective edge. The spacing then tapers down to the top and corner of the tent. In this manner, the pole has a somewhat parabolic shape relative to the edge.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A tent, comprising:
sidewalls including an upper portion; floor edges; and at least one pole having two ends and that is bent to extend along the sidewalls and that is attached at the two ends at the floor edges, the pole being asymmetrically spaced from the sidewalls.
2 . The tent of claim 1 , wherein the pole is attached to two opposite corners of the tent.
3 . The tent of claim 2 , wherein the pole is attached to two diagonally opposite corners of the tent.
4 . The tent of claim 3 , wherein the tent defines a top, and wherein the pole extends adjacent to the top within a first spacing from the top, and adjacent to at least one of the corners within a second spacing from the corner, and is spaced a third spacing from a portion of a side edge of the sidewalls between the top and said at least one corner.
5 . The tent of claim 4 , wherein the third spacing is greater than the first spacing.
6 . The tent of claim 5 , further comprising a rain fly extending over the pole, the rain fly being spaced outward from the sidewalls by the third spacing at the portion.
7 . The tent of claim 5 , wherein the third spacing is greater than the second spacing.
8 . The tent of claim 7 , further comprising a rain fly extending over the pole, the rain fly being spaced outward from the sidewalls by the third spacing at the portion.
9 . The tent of claim 4 , wherein the third spacing is greater than the second spacing.
10 . The tent of claim 9 , further comprising a rain fly extending over the pole, the rain fly being spaced outward from the sidewalls by the third spacing at the portion.
11 . The tent of claim 4 , further comprising at least one structure for attaching the side edge to the pole and spacing the pole the third spacing from the side edge.
12 . The tent of claim 11 , wherein the structure comprises at least one pole sleeve.
13 . The tent of claim 11 , wherein said at least one pole sleeve comprises an outer edge, and wherein spacing of the outer edge from the side edge is asymmetrical.
14 . The tent of claim 13 , wherein said at least one pole sleeve comprises a plurality of pole sleeves, each comprising outer edge, and wherein spacing of the outer edge from the side edge is asymmetrical.
15 . A tent, comprising:
sidewalls including an upper portion and defining side edges; floor edges; at least one pole having two ends and that is bent to extend along the side edges and that is attached at the two ends at the floor edges; and at least one structure for attaching the side edge to the pole and spacing the pole asymmetrically from the side edge.
16 . The tent of claim 15 , wherein the structure comprises at least one pole sleeve.
17 . The tent of claim 16 , wherein said at least one pole sleeve comprises an outer edge, and wherein spacing of the outer edge from the side edge is asymmetrical.
18 . The tent of claim 17 , wherein said at least one pole sleeve comprises a plurality of pole sleeves, each comprising outer edge, and wherein spacing of the outer edge from the side edge is asymmetrical.
19 . The tent of claim 15 , wherein the pole is attached to two opposite corners of the tent.
20 . The tent of claim 19 , wherein the pole is attached to two diagonally opposite corners of the tent.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
