Process, system, and kit for evaluating the relief of the skin with a substrate
Abstract
A process, system, and kit for evaluating the relief of the skin using a substrate with an adhesive surface. The process includes the steps of applying the substrate onto a test zone of the skin so that the adhesive surface is in contact with the skin at contact locations; removing the substrate; and evaluating the image formed on the adhesive surface. The image results from the modification of the adhesive surface at the contact locations. In a preferred embodiment, the adhesive surface, when applied to the skin, is not in appreciable contact with the sunken zones of the skin, such as the wrinkles or lines.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 53 . (canceled)
54 . A test kit for visualizing skin lines and skin wrinkles, comprising:
(i) a transparent substrate having an adhesive surface, wherein the adhesive is capable of making an image of skin lines and wrinkles after removal of the substrate from the skin; (ii) a visualizing substrate having a darkened area which is capable of receiving the substrate after removal from the skin; and (iii) a plurality of reference images adapted to provide a comparison with the image formed on the adhesive surface of the substrate.
55 . The kit of claim 54 , wherein the adhesive surface responds to contact with the skin.
56 . The kit of claim 54 , wherein the adhesive is a solid.
57 . The kit of claim 54 , which wherein reference images correspond to various degrees of aging of the skin.
58 . A method for evaluating the efficacy of a skin treatment product, comprising:
applying a first transparent substrate having an adhesive surface to the skin, wherein the adhesive makes an image of skin lines and wrinkles after removal of the first transparent substrate from the skin; removing the transparent substrate from the skin and placing the transparent substrate on a visualizing substrate having a darkened area; applying a skin treatment product to the skin; applying a second transparent substrate having an adhesive surface to the skin, wherein the adhesive makes an image of skin lines and wrinkles after removal of the second transparent substrate from the skin; removing the transparent substrate from the skin and placing the second transparent substrate on a visualizing substrate having a darkened area; and comparing the image from the first transparent substrate and the image from the second transparent substrate.
59 . The method of claim 58 , further comprising treating the skin with a cosmetic product prior to applying the first transparent substrate.
60 . The method of claim 58 , wherein the skin treatment product is an anti-wrinkle agent.
61 . The method of claim 58 , wherein the adhesive is a solid.
62 . The method of claim 58 , wherein the substrates and the skin treatment product are packaged as a kit.
63 . The method of claim 62 , wherein the kit further comprises reference images which correspond to various degrees of aging of the skin.
64 . The method of claim 58 , wherein the substrates are applied to at least one area selected from the crow's foot region, the forehead, and the corner of the mouth.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
