Abstract
A coupling for enabling interconnection between the pressurized toilet flush unit and the toilet tank outlet includes a first gasket for providing a seal between the mounting flange of the pressurized toilet flush unit and a toilet tank floor. An adapter provides for centering of a pressurized toilet flush unit spud in an opening and a toilet tank outlet and a gasket provides for sealing the adapter to an underside of the toilet tank floor. A spud nut is provided for centering the adapter within the toilet tank opening.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A coupling for enabling interconnection between a pressurized toilet flush unit and a toilet tank outlet, said pressurized toilet flush unit comprising a depending threaded spud with a mounting flange thereabout, said coupling comprising:
a gasket for providing a seal between said mounting flange and a toilet tank floor; an adapter for centering the spud in said toilet tank outlet; and a spud nut for causing centering of the adapter.
2 . The coupling according to claim 1 wherein said adapter includes a collet with an inside diameter sized for snuggly receiving the threaded spud and an outer diameter for snuggly fitting the tank outlet and a centered flange having a diameter greater than a diameter of the toilet tank outlet.
3 . The coupling according to claim 2 further comprising a sponge gasket for sealing between the adapter and said a toilet bowl.
4 . A coupling for enabling interconnection between a pressurized toilet flush unit and a toilet tank outlet, said pressurized toilet flush unit comprising a depending threaded spud with a mounting flange thereabout, said coupling comprising:
a gasket for providing a seal between said mounting flange and a toilet tank floor; an adapter for centering the spud in said toilet tank outlet said adapter having an expandable collet; and a spud nut for compressing and centering the adapter against said toilet tank floor within the outlet.
5 . The coupling according to claim 4 wherein said collet has an inside diameter sized for snuggly receiving the threaded spud and an outer diameter for snuggly fitting the tank outlet and a centered flange having a diameter greater than a diameter of the toilet tank outlet.
6 . The coupling according to claim 5 further comprising a sponge gasket for sealing between the centered flange and a toilet bowl.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
