Abstract
A chassis set includes a first chassis and a second chassis. The first chassis includes a first connecting portion having at least one guide protrusion. The second chassis includes a second connecting portion having at least one guide hole that receives the guide protrusion of the first chassis to combine the first and second chassis. Therefore, a manufacturing cost is reduced and productivity is enhanced. Additionally, the chassis can be made easily.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A chassis set, comprising:
a first chassis including a first connecting portion having at least one guide protrusion; and a second chassis including a second connecting portion having at least one guide hole that receives the guide protrusion of the first chassis to combine the first chassis and the second chassis.
2 . The chassis set of claim 1 , wherein the guide protrusion comprises a first protrusion, a second protrusion, and a third protrusion having an identical shape.
3 . The chassis set of claim 2 , wherein the guide hole has a first hole, a second hole, and a third hole that receive the first protrusion, the second protrusion, and the third protrusion, respectively.
4 . The chassis set of claim 3 , wherein each of the first protrusion, the second protrusion, and the third protrusion has a circular cross-sectional shape.
5 . The chassis set of claim 4 , wherein the first hole has a circular shape.
6 . The chassis set of claim 5 , wherein the second hole has an oval shape having a first major axis, and the third hole has an oval shape having a second major axis that is substantially perpendicular to the first major axis.
7 . The chassis set of claim 1 , wherein the first connecting portion is combined with the second connecting portion by a screw.
8 . The chassis set of claim 1 , wherein the first connecting portion and the second connecting portion are combined by spot welding.
9 . The chassis set of claim 1 , wherein the first chassis and the second chassis further comprise a first recessed portion formed at end portions of the first chassis and a first protruding portion that comes out of an end portion of the second chassis.
10 . A chassis set, comprising:
a first chassis including a first connecting portion having a first guide protrusion and a second connecting portion having a second guide protrusion; a second chassis substantially parallel with the first chassis, the second chassis including a third connecting portion having a third guide protrusion and a fourth connecting portion having a fourth guide protrusion; a third chassis including a fifth connecting portion having a first guide hole that receives the first guide protrusion of the first chassis to combine the first chassis and the third chassis and a sixth connecting portion having a second guide hole that receives the third guide protrusion to combine the second chassis and the third chassis; and a fourth chassis including a seventh connecting portion having a third guide hole that receives the second guide protrusion of the first chassis to combine the first chassis and the fourth chassis and an eighth connecting portion having a fourth guide hole that receives the fourth guide protrusion to combine the second chassis and the fourth chassis.
11 . The chassis set of claim 10 , wherein the third chassis comprises a first body portion substantially perpendicular to the first chassis and the second chassis, a second body portion extended from a first end of the first body portion and having the fifth connecting portion, and a third body portion extended from a second end of the first body portion substantially parallel with the second body portion and having the sixth connecting portion; and
wherein the fourth chassis comprises a fourth body facing the first body portion of the third chassis, a fifth body portion extended from a first end of the fourth body portion substantially perpendicular to the fourth body and having the seventh connecting portion, and a sixth body portion extended from a second end of the fourth body portion substantially parallel with the fifth body and having the eighth connecting portion.
12 . The chassis set of claim 11 , wherein each of the first guide hole, the second guide hole, the third hole, and the fourth guide hole has a first hole having an oval shape, and a major axis of the oval shape is substantially parallel with a longitudinal direction of the first chassis.
13 . The chassis set of claim 12 , wherein each of the first guide hole, the second guide hole, the third guide hole, and the fourth guide hole further has a second hole having an oval shape, and a major axis of the oval shape is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the first chassis.
14 . The chassis set of claim 11 , wherein each of the first connecting portion, the second connecting portion, the third connecting portion, and the fourth connecting portion has at least one hole that a screw is inserted in.
15 . The chassis set of claim 14 , wherein each of the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth connecting portions has at least one hole that a screw is inserted in.
16 . A liquid crystal display (LCD), comprising:
a backlight assembly that generates light; an LCD panel that displays images by using the light; and a chassis set that fixes the liquid crystal display panel to the backlight assembly, the chassis set including a first chassis and a second chassis combined with together, the first chassis having a guide protrusion and the second chassis having a guide hole that receives the guide protrusion.
17 . The LCD of claim 16 , wherein the guide hole has an oval shape.
18 . The LCD of claim 17 , wherein another guide hole has an oval shape, and the major axes of the two guide holes are substantially perpendicular to each other.
19 . The LCD of claim 16 , wherein each of the first chassis and the second chassis has a hole, and a screw is inserted into the hole to combine the first and second chassis.
20 . The LCD of claim 16 , wherein the backlight assembly comprises:
a lamp that generates light; an optical member that modifies characteristics of the light coming from the lamp; and a receiving container that receives the lamp and the optical member.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
