Abstract

A method of production of broad side plates for thin slab continuous casting molds with casting speeds of at least 2 to 6 m/min and higher includes producing of a hardenable copper allow containing by weight, 1% to 0.5% beryllium, 0.5% to 2% nickel which, together with a copper component, amount to at least 99.5%, and maximum 0.5% of impurities; and forming the broad side plates of the hardenable copper alloy.
