Abstract
In manufacturing a magnesium alloy, continuous casting is performed using a movable mold. A magnesium alloy to be processed by presswork, forging, and the like can be efficiently provided.

19 . A magnesium alloy manufactured by a method of continuous casting using a movable mold, in which shielding is performed in casting and smelting using a gas for protection against burn, and
in the continuous casting, the cooling rate is 1° C./sec or more.
20 . A magnesium alloy according to claim 19 , wherein 0.05 to 5 wt % of Ca is contained.
21 . A magnesium alloy according to claim 19 , wherein 0.1 to 10 wt % of Al is contained.
22 . A magnesium alloy according to claim 19 , wherein 0.05 to 5 wt % of Ca and 0.1 to 10 wt % of Al are contained.
