Method and apparatus for putting on gloves and gloves

Abstract

A glove retained by retaining enabled to be donned onto a hand by: providing gloves GR in which a cuff edge 8 D of a glove palm side part is formed to be offset closer to the glove fingers compared with a cuff edge 8 U of a glove back side part; hanging the gloves GR by engaging an upper portion of the glove back side part located in the vicinity of the upper cuff edge 8 U and above the lower cuff edge 8 D , with the glove cuff being directed upward and the palm side part with a lower cuff edge 8 D being placed in front; opening the cuff of the foremost one of the gloves to an extent sufficient to enable the hand to be inserted therethrough; and applying a force to the glove to disengage the glove after inserting the hand through the opened cuff from above.

1 . A method of donning a glove onto a hand, characterized by comprising the steps of: 
 hanging gloves in a state such that the gloves are arranged one behind the other by engaging the upper portion of the gloves with a cuff of each glove being directed upward;    opening the cuff of the foremost one of the gloves to an extent sufficient to enable a hand to be inserted therethrough; and    applying a force to the glove to disengage the glove after inserting the hand through the opened cuff from above.

The method as set forth in  claim 1 , characterized in that one of two cuff edges respectively corresponding to back-side and palm-side parts of the glove is provided to be offset closer to the glove fingers compared with the other cuff edge; and the gloves are hung in a state such that the glove part, whose cuff edge is positioned below the other when the glove is hanging, is placed in front, by engaging a portion, located in the vicinity of the upper cuff edge and above the lower cuff edge, of the rearward glove part whose cuff edge is positioned above the other.  
   
   
       3 . A system for donning a glove onto a hand, characterized by comprising: 
 hanging means for hanging gloves, in which one of two cuff edges respectively corresponding to back-side and palm-side parts of the glove is provided to be offset closer to the glove fingers compared with the other cuff edge, with the gloves being arranged one behind the other in a state such that a cuff of each glove is directed upward, the glove part, whose cuff edge is positioned below the other when the glove is hanging, is placed in front, and a portion, located in the vicinity of the upper cuff edge and above the lower cuff edge, of the rearward glove part whose cuff edge is positioned above the other is engaged;    opening means for opening the cuff of the foremost one of the hanging gloves to an extent sufficient to enable a hand to be inserted therethrough; and    drive means for driving the opening means.

The system as set forth in  claim 3 , characterized in that the hanging means comprises a holding rod which extends substantially horizontally in the front-rear direction through a hole formed in the rearward glove part having the cuff edge positioned above the other, and the gloves are hung from the holding rod with the gloves being arranged one behind the other.

The system as set forth in  claim 3 , characterized in that the opening means comprises a pair of glove-inter-surface separation plates which is inserted from above into the forefront glove through the front lower cuff edge such that the plates are held in a position substantially parallel to the lower cuff edge, and then rotated about 90° respectively around vertically extending shafts, thereby opening the cuff of the glove.  
   
   
       6 . The system as set forth in  claim 5 , characterized by further comprising pressing means for resiliently pressing forward a portion, located in the vicinity of the cuff edge positioned below the other, of the rearmost one of the gloves hanging from the holding means from behind.  
   
   
       7 . The system as set forth in any one of  claims 3  to  6 , characterized in that the drive means is of a type operated by a foot-pedal.  
   
   
       8 . A glove characterized in that one of two cuff edges respectively corresponding to the back-side and palm-side parts of the glove is provided to be offset closer to the glove fingers compared with the other cuff edge, and an engagement portion, which enables the glove to be hung with the glove cuff being directed upward, is formed at a portion, located in the vicinity of the other cuff edge and above the lower cuff edge, of the glove part having the other cuff edge.  
   
   
       9 . The glove as set forth in  claim 8 , characterized in that the engagement portion is a hole which enable the holding rod to be inserted therethrough, and a frangible portion is provided between the hole and the cuff edge in the vicinity of the hole, whereby communication therebetween is facilitated.  
   
   
       10 . The glove as set forth in  claim 9 , characterized in that the hole is a cruciform slit.  
   
   
       11 . The glove as set forth in  claim 9  or  10 , characterized in that the frangible portion is a perforated line extending between the hole and the cuff edge in the vicinity of the hole.  
   
   
       12 . A glove housing magazine, characterized in that gloves, in which one of two cuff edges respectively corresponding to the back-side and palm-side parts of the glove is provided to be offset closer to the glove fingers compared with the other cuff edge, are housed therein with the gloves being arranged one behind the other in a state such that the cuff of each glove is directed upward, the glove part, whose cuff edge is positioned below the other, is placed in front, and the gloves are hung by engaging a portion, located in the vicinity of this upper cuff edge and above the other lower cuff edge, of the rearward glove part whose cuff edge is positioned above the other.  
   
   
       13 . The glove housing magazine as set forth in  claim 12 , characterized in that the glove housing magazine comprises a holding rod which extends substantially horizontally in the front-rear direction through a hole formed in the rearward glove part having the cuff edge positioned above the other, and the gloves are hung from the holding rod.

The glove housing magazine as set forth in  claim 13 , characterized by further comprising pressing means for resiliently pressing forward a portion, located in the vicinity of the cuff edge positioned below the other, of the rearmost one of the gloves hanging from the holding means from behind.
