Highway guard rail support made from tires
Abstract
A guard rail support that connects a guard rail and guard rail post. The guard rail support has tire planks made from recycled or new vehicle tires. The preferred method is to bond them together to form a block and then drill a hole therein. The dimensions of the length, width, thickness and the diameter of the hole or holes are made so as to comply with the specific Federal Highway Administration's (FHA) regulations. The guard rail support provides for a more cost effective product and better method to deal with the effects of the weather than is presently employed in the current national highway system. The guard rail support is built and tested to the specific rules and specification of the FHA.
