Claims

Abstract

A display apparatus including a monitor displaying a picture and a stand supporting the monitor. The stand includes a supporting member, an inner slider, accommodated in the supporting member, to lift the monitor up and down in the supporting member, an outer slider, provided on an outer surface of the supporting member to be movable by a magnetic cooperation with the inner slider, to connect with the monitor, and an elastic member provided in at least one of lower parts of the inner slider and the outer slider, and supporting the monitor. The structure of the stand not only improves an assembling process and productivity, but also minimizes a possibility of a malfunction in operation. Accordingly, the structure is advantageous financially aspect because costs of production may be saved.

1 . A display apparatus including a monitor to display a picture and a stand to support the monitor, the stand comprising: 
 a supporting member;    an inner slider, accommodated in the supporting member, to move the monitor up and down in the supporting member;    an outer slider, on an outer surface of the supporting member to be movable by a magnetic cooperation with the inner slider, to connect with the monitor; and    an elastic member, in at least one of lower parts of the inner slider and the outer slider, to support the monitor.    
   
   
       2 . The display apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein at least one of the inner slider and the outer slider comprises a magnet.  
   
   
       3 . The display apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein the inner slider comprises an inner sliding block, accommodated in the supporting member to move the monitor up and down, and an inner magnet, connected to the inner sliding block, to contact with an inner surface of the supporting member.  
   
   
       4 . The display apparatus according to  claim 3 , wherein an outside of the inner sliding block is formed with at least one magnet accommodation groove, and the inner magnet is accommodated in the magnet accommodation groove of the inner sliding block.  
   
   
       5 . The display apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein the inner slider comprises: 
 an upper supporter;    a lower supporter coupled to the upper supporter; and    an inner magnet installed between the upper supporter and the lower supporter.    
   
   
       6 . The display apparatus according to  claim 5 , wherein the inner magnet is plural in number and further comprising a spacer included between the inner magnets to maintain a space between the plurality of inner magnets.  
   
   
       7 . The display apparatus according to  claim 3 , wherein the outer slider comprises: 
 an outer sliding block coupled to the outer surface of the supporting member; and    an outer magnet accommodated in the outer sliding block and supported on the outer surface of the supporting member by a magnetic cooperation with the inner magnet.    
   
   
       8 . The display apparatus according to  claim 7 , wherein an inside of the outer sliding block includes at least one magnet accommodation groove, and the outer magnet is accommodated in the magnet accommodation groove of the outer sliding block.  
   
   
       9 . The display apparatus according to  claim 5 , wherein the outer slider comprises: 
 an outer sliding block coupled to the outer surface of the supporting member;    an outer magnet accommodated in the outer sliding block, and supported on the outer surface of the supporting member by a magnetic cooperation with the inner magnet; and    deviation prevention members coupled to an upper part and a lower part of the outer sliding block, respectively, to prevent the outer magnet from deviating.    
   
   
       10 . The display apparatus according to  claim 9 , wherein the outer magnet is plural in number and further comprising a spacer between the plurality of the outer magnets.  
   
   
       11 . The display apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the elastic member comprises a compressing spring.  
   
   
       12 . The display apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the supporting member has a cylindrical structure to enable the outer slider to lift and rotate.  
   
   
       13 . The display apparatus according to  claim 10 , wherein the outer slider has an annular structure.  
   
   
       14 . The display apparatus according to  claim 1 , further comprising a rotating bracket connected to the outer slider and the monitor, to enable the monitor to rotate.  
   
   
       15 . A display apparatus including a monitor displaying a picture, and a stand supporting the monitor, wherein the stand comprises: 
 a supporting member; and    an outer slider, provided on an outer surface of the supporting member to be movable by magnetic cooperation with the supporting member, to connect with the monitor.    
   
   
       16 . The display apparatus according to  claim 15 , further comprising an elastic member, provided in a lower part of the outer slider, to support the monitor.  
   
   
       17 . The display apparatus according to  claim 15 , wherein at least one of the supporting member and the outer slider comprises a magnet.  
   
   
       18 . The display apparatus according to  claim 16 , wherein at least one of the supporting member and the outer slider comprises a magnet.  
   
   
       19 . The display apparatus according to  claim 15 , wherein the supporting member has a cylindrical structure to enable the outer slider to lift up and down and to rotate.  
   
   
       20 . The display apparatus according to  claim 19 , wherein the outer slider has an annular structure.  
   
   
       21 . The display apparatus according to  claim 15 , comprising a rotating bracket, connected to the outer slider and the monitor, to enable the monitor to rotate.  
   
   
       22 . A stand of a display apparatus to support a monitor having a weight, comprising: 
 a substantially cylindrical vertically disposed supporting member having an open upper portion;    first and second sliders, one of which including a magnet and the other including magnetic material, the first slider being accommodated in the upper portion of the supporting member, to move the monitor up and down in the supporting member, and the second slider being included on an outer surface of the upper portion of the supporting member to be movable by a magnetic cooperation with the first slider and to connect with the monitor; and    an elastic member, to support the weight of the monitor.    
   
   
       23 . The display apparatus according to  claim 22 , wherein the first slider comprises: 
 a first sliding block to block movement of the first slider; and    a first magnet, connected to the first sliding block, to contact with an inner surface of the supporting member.    
   
   
       24 . The display apparatus according to  claim 23 , wherein an outside of the first sliding block includes a magnet accommodation groove, and the first magnet is accommodated in the magnet accommodation groove of the first sliding block.  
   
   
       25 . The display apparatus according to  claim 22 , wherein the first slider comprises: 
 an upper supporter;    a lower supporter coupled to the upper supporter; and    a first magnet installed between the upper supporter and the lower supporter.    
   
   
       26 . The display apparatus according to  claim 25 , wherein the first magnet is plural in number and further comprising a spacer between the plurality of first magnets.  
   
   
       27 . The display apparatus according to  claim 22 , wherein the second slider comprises: 
 a second sliding block coupled to the outer surface of the supporting member; and    a second magnet accommodated in the outer sliding block and supported on the outer surface of the supporting member by a magnetic cooperation with the first magnet.    
   
   
       28 . The display apparatus according to  claim 27 , wherein an inside of the second sliding block includes at least one magnet accommodation groove, and the second magnet is accommodated in the magnet accommodation groove of the second sliding block.  
   
   
       29 . The display apparatus according to  claim 25 , wherein the second slider comprises: 
 a second sliding block coupled to the outer surface of the supporting member;    a second magnet accommodated in the second sliding block, and supported on the outer surface of the supporting member by a magnetic cooperation with the inner magnet; and    deviation prevention members coupled to an upper part and a lower part of the second sliding block, respectively, to prevent the second magnet from deviating from the magnetic cooperation with the first magnet.    
   
   
       30 . The display apparatus according to  claim 29 , wherein the second magnet is plural in number and further comprising a spacer provided between the plurality of the second magnets.  
   
   
       31 . The display apparatus according to  claim 22 , wherein the elastic member comprises a compressing spring.  
   
   
       32 . The display apparatus according to  claim 22 , further comprising a rotating bracket connected with both the second slider and the monitor to enable the monitor to rotate.  
   
   
       33 . A stand of a display apparatus to support a monitor having a weight which may be manipulated in vertical directions by a user, comprising: 
 a substantially cylindrical vertically disposed supporting member having an open upper portion;    a first slider in the upper portion of the supporting member;    a second slider to magnetically cooperate with the first slider, the second slider being located on an outer surface of the upper portion of the supporting member; and    an elastic member, having a restoring force, to support the weight of the monitor, wherein the magnetic cooperation between the first and second magnets generates a frictional force between the first and second sliders and the supporting member which is sufficient to overcome the restoring force of the elastic member and to allow the user to adjust the height of the monitor.
