Abstract

The present invention provides a box comprising a body having parallel front and rear sides along with parallel first and second end sides. Each end sides have a width and interconnects with the front side and said rear side. A bottom side is formed from bottom flaps extending from the four sides along crease lines. These flaps cooperate with each other to form the bottom side. Typically, the two side flaps are folded inward then the front and rear flaps are folded inward. Box tape, staples, or other securing mechanisms are then usually applied to the seam between the front and rear flaps to secure the bottom side. A top side is formed from top flaps in a similar manner as the bottom side. The top flaps, however, have perforations along their respective crease lines. These perforations allow the top flaps to be removed without removing the securing tape, staples, etc.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A box comprising:
a body with parallel front and rear sides, and parallel first and second end sides, each having a width and interconnecting said front side and said rear side; a bottom side being formed from a front bottom flap extending from said front side, a rear bottom flap extending from said rear side, a first bottom end flap extending from said first end side and a second bottom end flap extending from said second end side, said bottom flaps, each of said bottom flaps folded along a crease line and cooperating with the other said bottom flaps to form said bottom side; and a top side being formed from a front top flap extending from said front side, a rear top flap extending from said rear side, a first top end flap extending from said first end side and a second top end flap extending from said second end side, each of said top flaps folded along a crease line and cooperating with the other said top flaps to form said top side; said rear top flap, said first top end flap and said second top end flap having perforations along their respective crease lines; said front side including perforations defining a front side tear-out segment disposed in the front side extending to the crease line defining said front top flap; and said front top flap having perforations extending from said front side tear-out segment along its crease line.

2 . The box of claim 1 further comprising an opening aperture disposed in said front side to allow access to the front side tear-out segment.

3 . The box of claim 1 further comprising at least one front side perforation extending from said perforations extending along the crease line defining said front top flap into said front side.

4 . The box of claim 1 wherein said rear side comprises perforations defining a rear side tear-out segment disposed in the rear side extending to the crease line defining said rear top flap; and
said rear top flap having perforations extending from said rear side tear-out segment along its crease line.

5 . The box of claim 4 further comprising an opening aperture disposed in said rear side to allow access to the rear side tear-out segment.

6 . The box of claim 4 further comprising at least one rear side perforation extending from said perforations extending along the crease line defining said rear top flap into said front side.
