Abstract
A decorative covering for a flower pot wherein a sheet of material having embossed and printed patterns thereon is formed about at least a portion of the flower pot. The printed pattern may be in or out of register with the embossed pattern, or a portion of the printed and embossed patterns may be in register with one another and a portion of the printed and embossed patterns may be out of register with one another. The sheet of material may be provided by disconnecting the sheet of material from a roll of embossed material having lines of perforations therein.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for decoratively covering a flower pot or floral grouping comprising:
providing a roll of material having a first surface and a second surface and having an embossed pattern disposed in at least a portion of at least one of the first surface and second surface thereof, the roll of material comprising a lamination of a foil and film, and the roll of material containing a plurality of lines of perforations for separating portions of the roll of material into a plurality of sheets of material; disconnecting at least one of the plurality of sheets of material from the roll of material via one of the lines of perforations; and forming the sheet of material about a flower pot or a floral grouping thereby providing a decorative covering about the flower pot or floral grouping wherein at least a portion of the embossed pattern is visible on the decorative covering.
2 . The method of claim 1 wherein, in the step of disconnecting at least one of the plurality of the sheets of material from the roll of material, the sheet of material has a bonding material disposed thereon such that when the sheet of material is formed about an outer peripheral surface of the flower pot, the bonding material bondingly connects the sheet of material to the outer peripheral surface of the flower pot.
3 . The method of claim 1 wherein, in the step of providing the roll of material, the roll of material is further provided with a printed pattern disposed on at least a portion of the first surface or the second surface of the roll of material such that at least a portion of the printed pattern is visible on the decorative covering formed from the sheet of material disconnected from the roll of material.
4 . The method of claim 1 wherein in the step of forming the sheet of material about a flower pot, the sheet of material is formed into a flower pot cover having a plurality of overlapping folds therein wherein the overlapping folds extend at various angles and at various distances, the flower pot cover having an object opening formed through an upper end thereof sized to receive a flower pot, and wherein at least a portion of the embossed pattern is visible on the flower pot cover.
5 . The method of claim 4 wherein, in the step of providing the roll of material, the roll of material is further provided with a printed pattern disposed on at least a portion of the first surface or second surface of the roll of material such that at least a portion of the printed pattern is visible on the flower pot cover formed from the sheet of material disconnected from the roll of material.
6 . A plant package comprising a flower pot or a floral grouping and a decorative covering, the plant package produced by the method of claim 1.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
