Level Putting Device

Abstract

The invention comprises a device for dual action level that allows the user to see when his aim or club holding may be out of level in two planes. The device consists of a main housing, incorporating a level, which is affixed to the putter shaft on or near the grip. The device is composed of two main members connected via a hinge. The two units are described as a level liquid chamber component unit and a putter shaft clamp unit. The level is attached to the shaft through the means of a simple grip clamp encased in the plastic housing. The invention is designed to be removed and reattached easily and without need for frequent adjustment or calibration. The invention simultaneously addresses four common problems for golfers: head angle, lie angle and swing, and inconsistent and off-center impact points. The device can be used indoors or outdoors and with or without a ball. Keeping the putter face square to the target line and controlling the levelness of the swing through the ball will help the user to maintain consistency when putting.

 a level attached to the shaft of a putter.    
     
     
         2 . A putting training device as in  claim 1  in which said level consists of a level chamber with an air bubble within said chamber.  
     
     
         3 . A putting training device as in  claim 2  in which said level chamber contained within a chamber.  
     
     
         4 . A putting training device as in  claim 3  in which said chamber has a top housing and a bottom housing.  
     
     
         5 . A putting training device as in  claim 1  in which said level consists of a level chamber with liquid within said chamber and an air bubble within said chamber.  
     
     
         6 . A putting training device as in  claim 1  in which said level has an image on its face.  
     
     
         7 . A putting training device as in  claim 1  in which said level consists of a gimbal.  
     
     
         8 . A putting training device comprising: 
 a level component attached by a hinge to a shaft attachment means.    
     
     
         9 . A putting training device as in  claim 8  in which said attachment means are a plurality of clamps.  
     
     
         10 . A putting training device as in  claim 8  in which said putter shaft attachment has a an adjustment means to adjust the angle between said level component and said shaft attachment means.  
     
     
         11 . A putting training device as in  claim 8  in which said adjustment means is a drive gear.  
     
     
         12 . A putting training device as in  claim 8  in which said adjustment means is a drive gear on the shaft attachment means which moves a tongue attached to said level component.  
     
     
         13 . A putting training device as in  claim 8  in which said attachment means has a top housing and a bottom housing.  
     
     
         14 . A putting training device as in  claim 8  in which said level consists of a level chamber with an air bubble within said chamber.  
     
     
         15 . A putting training device as in  claim 14  in which said level chamber contained within a chamber.  
     
     
         16 . A putting training device as in  claim 15  in which said chamber has a top housing and a bottom housing.

         20 . A putting training device comprising: 
 a level component attached by a hinge to a shaft attachment means, said putter shaft attachment has an adjustment means to adjust the angle between said level component and said shaft attachment means where said adjustment means is a drive gear on the shaft attachment means which moves a tongue which is attached to said level component.
