Abstract

The cabinet ( 1 ) for a display device ( 2 ) comprises a rear part ( 4 ) and a front part ( 5 ) mounted to the rear part ( 4 ). The display device ( 2 ) is mounted in the cabinet ( 1 ). The cabinet also comprises fastening elements for fastening the front part ( 5 ) to the rear part ( 4 ), the fastening elements comprising pairs ( 10 a , 10 b ; 12 a , 12 b ) of cooperating members of the front part ( 5 ) and the rear part ( 4 ). The pairs of members allow manual mounting of the front part ( 5 ) to the rear part ( 4 ). At least one resilient member ( 10 a ; 10 b ) is manually accessible, and has a shape and a position enabling it to be disengaged from its cooperating member ( 10 b ; 10 a ) by a manual displacement. After disengagement, the front part ( 5 ) and the rear part ( 4 ) are separable. The display apparatus has the display device ( 2 ) in the cabinet ( 1 ).

1 . A cabinet ( 1 ) for a display device ( 2 ) having a display screen ( 3 ), the cabinet ( 1 ) comprising: 
 a rear part ( 4 );    a front part ( 5 ) mounted to the rear part ( 4 ), having a window ( 6 ) for the display screen ( 3 ), the rear part ( 4 ) and/or the front part ( 5 ) being able to hold the display device ( 2 ); and    fastening means for fastening the front part ( 5 ) to the rear part ( 4 ), the fastening means comprising pairs ( 10   a ,  10   b ;  12   a ,  12   b ) of cooperating members of the front part ( 5 ) and the rear part ( 4 ), at least one pair ( 10   a ,  10   b ) having a resilient member ( 10   a ;  10   b ), the cooperating members ( 10   a ,  10   b ) of the at least one pair ( 10   a ,  10   b ) having a shape and a position allowing manual mounting of the front part ( 5 ) to the rear part ( 4 ) and allowing disengagement of the at least one pair of members ( 10   a ,  10   b ) by a movement of the resilient member ( 10   a ;  10   b ) to make the front part ( 5 ) and the rear part ( 4 ) separable, 
 characterized in that the resilient member ( 10   a ;  10   b ) of the at least one pair  
   is positioned at the outside of the cabinet ( 1 ),    is manually accessible, and    has a shape and a position enabling it to be disengaged from its cooperating member ( 10   b ;  10   a ) by a manual displacement.

A cabinet ( 1 ) as claimed in  claim 1 , characterized in that the resilient member ( 10   a ;  10   b ) of the at least one pair of members ( 10   a ,  10   b ) is in a location where it is substantially invisible when the cabinet ( 1 ) is in a normal operational position.  
     
     
         3 . A cabinet ( 1 ) as claimed in  claim 2 , characterized in that 
 the front part ( 5 ) has a side wall ( 20 ) directed substantially towards a support (S) on which the cabinet ( 1 ) rests in the normal operational position; and    the resilient member ( 10   a ) of the at least one pair of members ( 10   a ,  10   b ) 
 is positioned at the side wall ( 20 ) of the front part ( 5 ); and  
 extends from the front part ( 5 ) to the rear part ( 4 ).  
   
     
     
         4 . A cabinet ( 1 ) as claimed in  claim 3 , characterized in that the rear part ( 4 ) has a first recess ( 22 ) in an outer surface through which the resilient member ( 10   a ) is accessible.  
     
     
         5 . A cabinet ( 1 ) as claimed in  claim 3 , characterized in that the rear part ( 4 ) has a second recess ( 23 ) into which the resilient member ( 10   a ) is sunk.  
     
     
         6 . A cabinet ( 1 ) as claimed in  claim 3 , characterized in that at least two resilient members ( 10   a ,  11   a ) are present, spaced apart at the side wall ( 20 ) of the front part ( 5 ).  
     
     
         7 . A cabinet ( 1 ) as claimed in  claim 1 , characterized in that the resilient member ( 10   a ;  10   b ) of the at least one pair of members ( 10   a ,  10   b ) has a third recess ( 25 ), and that the cooperating member ( 10   b ;  10   a ) has a protrusion ( 26 ), which is snapped into the third recess ( 25 ).  
     
     
         8 . A cabinet ( 1 ) as claimed in  claim 1 , characterized in that the cooperating members ( 10   a ,  10   b ) of the at least one pair of members ( 10   a ,  10   b ) are snap-ins.  
     
     
         9 . A cabinet ( 1 ) as claimed in  claim 1 , characterized in that one of the rear part ( 4 ) and the front part ( 5 ) comprises at least one other snap-in ( 30 ) holding the display device ( 2 ); and that the other one of the rear part ( 4 ) and the front part ( 5 ) comprises at least one other protrusion ( 31 ) for locking the at least one other snap-in ( 30 ).  
     
     
         10 . A display apparatus comprising a cabinet ( 1 ) as claimed in  claim 1  and a display device ( 2 ) having a display screen ( 3 ), the display device ( 2 ) being mounted in the cabinet ( 1 ) and its display screen ( 3 ) being visible through the window ( 6 ) of the front part ( 5 ).
