Abstract
The present invention provides a method and raised bed for producing plant material in a container in the bed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for producing plant material comprising:
a. inserting a plant in a container into a raised bed; b. covering the bed with a water-permeable weed barrier; and c. providing a fluid source for localized watering of the plant in the container.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the source includes an individual water delivery line directed to the container plant.
3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising providing a rooting deterrent material between the plant and a hole in the bed.
4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising providing a moisture delivery line for controlling the temperature of at least a portion of the raised bed surrounding the container.
5 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising providing a driptape for controlling the temperature of at least a portion of the raised bed surrounding the container.
6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising providing a rooting deterrent material between the plant and a hole in the bed.
7 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the fluid source includes a spray emitter positioned for directed watering of the container plant.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the spray emitter is attached to the container.
9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising providing a driptape for controlling the temperature of at least a portion of the raised planting bed.
10 . A planting bed for container plants comprising:
a. a raised planting bed; b. a weed-deterring material covering the raised planting bed; C. a plant in a container contained in a hole in the raised planting bed; and d. a fluid delivery source for localized watering of the plant in the container.
11 . The planting bed of claim 10 , further comprising a temperature controlling line beneath the weed-deterring material for controlling at least a portion of the bed temperature.
12 . The planting bed of claim 10 , wherein the container is wrapped in a rooting-deterrent material.
13 . The planting of claim 10 , wherein the fluid delivery source includes a spray emitter and is an individual line to the plant in the container.
14 . The planting bed of claim 13 , wherein the spray emitter is attached to a container holding the container plant.
15 . The planting bed of claim 11 , wherein the fluid delivery source includes a spray emitter and is an individual line to the plant in the container.
16 . The planting bed of claim 15 , wherein the spray emitter is attached to the container.
17 . A method for plant material comprising:
a. providing a plant within a container into a raised bed, wherein the raised bed includes a cover material; b. providing a temperature control line beneath the cover material to control temperature in at least a portion of the raised bed surrounding the container; and c. providing a fluid source for hydrating the plant within the container.
18 . The method of claiml 7 , wherein the cover material is a water-permeable weed barrier.
19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the temperature control line moistens at least a portion of the bed surrounding the container.
20 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising:
a. providing a plurality of plants within a plurality of containers in the raised bed; and b. providing each container with localized hydration.
21 . The method of claim 20 , further comprising providing a spray emitter to each container.
22 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising:
a. providing a plurality of plants within a plurality of containers in the raised bed; and b. providing each container with localized hydration.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
