Shower screen provided with lighting

Abstract

A shower screen includes a plurality of panels, each panel having edges, at least one of the edges having a seal with lighting provided in a cavity in the seal. The lighting, preferably in the form of LEDs, directs light into the panel in order to provide an improved visual effect.

       11 . A shower screen comprising: 
 at least one panel having at least one edge;    a seal on at least one said edge; and    lighting provided in the seal.    
   
   
       12 . A shower screen as in  claim 11  wherein the lighting is arranged to emit light into the edge of the panel.  
   
   
       13 . A shower screen as in  claim 11  wherein the lighting faces the edge.  
   
   
       14 . A shower screen as in  claim 11  wherein the seal comprises a cavity in which the lighting is arranged.  
   
   
       15 . A shower screen as in  claim 14  further comprising a sealing compound in the cavity.  
   
   
       16 . A shower screen as in  claim 11  wherein said panel has a vertical length and a horizontal length, said edge extending along at least one of said vertical length and said horizontal length.  
   
   
       17 . A shower screen as in  claim 11  wherein at least one said panel has a bottom edge provided with a bottom seal carrying cables for supplying power to the lighting.  
   
   
       18 . A shower screen as in  claim 17  wherein the cables are molded integrally into the bottom seal.  
   
   
       19 . A shower screen as in  claim 17  wherein the bottom seal comprises a cavity in which the cables are received.  
   
   
       20 . A shower screen as in  claim 11  wherein the lighting comprises two rows of LEDs in each said seal having lighting.
