Abstract
A pizza support characterised by comprising a flattened focaccia ( 2 ) provided on its lower surface with an edible handgrip ( 6, 13 ).

2 . A support as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the handgrip is one piece with the flattened focaccia.

4 . A support as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the handgrip comprises a hollow body.
5 . A support as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the handgrip has a hole with its axis parallel to the plane of the flattened focaccia.
6 . A support as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the handgrip comprises two flaps obtained by double-folding the flattened focaccia.
7 . A support as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the flattened focaccia has a central hole, and the handgrip comprises a cylindrical body insertable into the central hole of the flattened focaccia.
8 . A support as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the flattened focaccia has two parallel grooves defining a rib coplanar with the lower surface of the flattened focaccia.
9 . A method for obtaining dough-based supports, comprising forming a flattened focaccia having a lower surface and forming an edible handgrip on the flattened focaccia lower surface.
10 . A method as claimed in claim 9 wherein the handgrip is formed during the formation of the flattened foccacia.
11 . A method as claimed in claim 9 , further comprising forming the flattened foccacia and the handgrip separately from each other.
