Method for facilitating application of an absorbent article on a user, and related article and application aid

Abstract

A method for facilitating application of an absorbent article on a user, and to a related article and application aid. An application aid is attached to the absorbent article in such a way that it cooperates with that part of the absorbent article which is to be guided under the user, and in such a way that a part of the absorbent article and the application aid are guided under the user.

A method for facilitating the application of an absorbent article on a user in a recumbent position, the method comprising attaching an application aid to the absorbent article in such a way that it cooperates with a part of the absorbent article which is to be guided under the user, and guiding the part of the absorbent article and the application aid under the user.

The method for facilitating the application of an absorbent article according to  claim 1 , wherein the application aid is removed from the absorbent article so that the cooperation between the application aid and the absorbent article ceases before the absorbent article is fastened together so that it surrounds the user's waist region.  
     
     
         3 . The method for facilitating the application of an absorbent article according to  claim 1 , wherein the application aid is arranged so that it cooperates with a belt of the absorbent article.  
     
     
         4 . The method for facilitating the application of an absorbent article according to  claim 3 , wherein the application aid is arranged on the belt with the aid of a fastening device arranged on the belt.  
     
     
         5 . The method for facilitating the application of an absorbent article according to  claim 4 , wherein the application aid is arranged on a pocket-like receiving part placed on the belt.  
     
     
         6 . The method for facilitating the application of an absorbent article according to  claim 3 , wherein the application aid is arranged on the belt with the aid of a fastening device arranged on the application aid.  
     
     
         7 . An absorbent article for use in accordance with the method of  claim 1 , the absorbent article having at least one belt part with a first end secured to the absorbent article, and a second end, wherein the belt part has means for cooperating with an application aid so that the belt and the application aid cooperate when guided under the user.  
     
     
         8 . The absorbent article according to  claim 7 , wherein the belt part has a pocket-like receiving part for receiving an application aid.  
     
     
         9 . The absorbent article according to  claim 7 , wherein the absorbent article has a first belt part and a second belt part.  
     
     
         10 . The absorbent article according to  claim 9 , wherein both the first and second belt parts have means for cooperating with an application aid.  
     
     
         11 . The absorbent article according to  claim 8 , wherein the pocket-like receiving part has been formed by folding and joining together of a belt part.  
     
     
         12 . The absorbent article according to  claim 11 , wherein the pocket-like receiving part has been formed by the second end of the belt part having been folded over the belt part towards the first end of said belt part so that the longitudinal sides of the belt part run substantially parallel to one another.  
     
     
         13 . The absorbent article according to  claim 8 , wherein the pocket-like receiving part comprises a material section arranged separately on the belt part.  
     
     
         14 . The absorbent article according to  claim 13 , wherein the separate material section comprises a fastening device.  
     
     
         15 . The absorbent article according to  claim 14 , wherein the fastening device comprises hook or loop material.  
     
     
         16 . An application aid for use in the method according to  claim 1 , wherein the application aid is made of a flexible material.  
     
     
         17 . The application aid according to  claim 16 , wherein the application aid has a rectangular shape.  
     
     
         18 . The application aid according to  claim 16 , wherein a length of the application aid is 15-100 cm and a width of the application aid is 2-14 cm.  
     
     
         19 . The application aid according to  claim 16 , wherein the application aid has means for cooperating with an absorbent article so that the absorbent article and the application aid cooperate during movement.  
     
     
         20 . The application aid according to  claim 19 , wherein the means for cooperating with an absorbent article comprises hook or loop material.  
     
     
         21 . The application aid according to  claim 19 , wherein the means for cooperating with an absorbent article comprises a clip arrangement.  
     
     
         22 . An absorbent article comprising first and second belt parts, said first and second belt parts having a first end secured to the absorbent article, and a second end, wherein the second end of at least one belt part has a pocket-like receiving part.  
     
     
         23 . The absorbent article according to  claim 22 , wherein the second ends of both the first and second belts parts have pocket-like receiving parts.  
     
     
         24 . The absorbent article according to  claim 22 , wherein the pocket-like receiving part has been formed by the first belt part.

The absorbent article according to  claim 24 , wherein the pocket-like receiving part has been formed by the second end of the belt part having been folded over the belt part towards the first end of the first belt part so that the longitudinal sides of the first belt part run substantially parallel to one another.  
     
     
         26 . The absorbent article according to  claim 22 , wherein the pocket-like receiving part comprises a material section arranged separately from the belt part.  
     
     
         27 . The absorbent article according to  claim 26 , wherein the separate material section comprises a fastening device.  
     
     
         28 . The absorbent article according to  claim 27 , wherein the fastening device comprises hook or loop material.
