Methods of inhibiting the production of ammonia from urine

Abstract

A method of inhibiting production of ammonia from urine held adjacent a user's skin by an article. The method includes applying a composition including a Yucca sp. extract to an area of the wearer's skin.

1 . A method of inhibiting the production of ammonia from urine held on or near the diaper area skin of a wearer, the method comprising: 
 applying a composition to the diaper area skin of the wearer, said composition including a  Yucca  sp. extract; and    contacting the diaper area skin of the wearer with urine.    
     
     
         2 . A method as set forth in  claim 1  wherein at least about 0.001 gram per square centimeter of  Yucca  sp. extract is applied to the diaper area skin of the wearer.  
     
     
         3 . A method as set forth in  claim 1  wherein the composition includes  Yucca schidigera.    
     
     
         4 . A method as set forth in  claim 3  wherein the composition comprises at least about 0.001 weight percent  Yucca schidigera.    
     
     
         5 . A method as set forth in  claim 1  wherein the composition is applied with a wipe.  
     
     
         6 . A method as set forth in  claim 1  wherein the composition comprises at least about 0.01 weight percent  Yucca  sp. extract.  
     
     
         7 . A method as set forth in  claim 1  wherein the composition comprises less than about 1.0 weight percent  Yucca  sp. extract.
