Abstract

The invention relates to polypeptides which exert the biological activity of GABA B receptors, and to nucleic acids which encode these polypeptides, and in particular to their use for finding active compounds for crop protection.

         26 . A method of identifying a chemical which specifically binds to a receptor, the method comprising: 
 exposing to at least one chemical under conditions permitting interaction therewith a receptor which comprises a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2 and a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence of SEQ. ID. NO: 4, and    identifying the chemical specifically binding to the receptor,    wherein the receptor has at least one biological activity of a GABA B receptor.
