Abstract

A combination fireplace and entertainment assembly for installation within the outer walls of a home includes a non-vented fireplace on an inside wall and a cabinet encapsulating the fireplace. Additional cabinets and bookcases are releasably secured to the cabinet in a manner best suited to interior room and wall configuration. The fireplace is preferably gas burning or electric heated. The combination is used as an entertainment center featuring a television set and other audio devices which may be blended into the configuration in an attractive and useful manner.

An entertainment and fireplace assembly located entirely within the outer walls of the home comprising: a non-vented gas fireplace positioned against the inside of an outer wall; cabinetry including a fireplace cabinet and one or more general cabinets positioned against the inside of one or more outer walls; a gas supply operably connected to the fireplace; power supply means operably connected to the fireplace, the fireplace cabinet and the one or more general cabinets; and actuating means associated with the fireplace and the cabinetry to selectively actuate a supply of electricity to the fireplace and to the units of the cabinetry.  
   
   
       2 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 1  further comprising: actuating means to selectively actuate gas flow from the gas supply to the fireplace.  
   
   
       3 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 1  wherein the general cabinets include a corner cabinet.  
   
   
       4 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 2  wherein the general cabinets include a corner cabinet.  
   
   
       5 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 2  wherein the general cabinets include a bookcase cabinet.  
   
   
       6 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 3  wherein the general cabinets include a bookcase cabinet.  
   
   
       7 . An entertainment and fireplace assembly located entirely within the outer walls the home comprising: a non-vented fireplace positioned against the inside of an outer wall; cabinetry including a fireplace cabinet and one or more general cabinets positioned against the inside of one or more outer walls; power supply means operably connected to the fireplace cabinet and the one or more general cabinets; and actuating means associated with the fireplace cabinet and the one or more general cabinets to selectively actuate the power supply and effect energy flow to the units of cabinetry.  
   
   
       8 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 1  wherein the one or more general cabinets are releasably securable to the fireplace cabinet and to each other.  
   
   
       9 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 6  wherein the one or more general cabinets are releasably securable to the fireplace cabinet and to each other.  
   
   
       10 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 7  wherein the one or more general cabinets are releasably securable to the fireplace cabinet and to each other.  
   
   
       11 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 1  wherein the one or more general cabinets and the fireplace cabinet are arranged in a side-by-side relationship.  
   
   
       12 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 6  wherein the one or more general cabinets and the fireplace cabinet are arranged in a side-by-side relationship.  
   
   
       13 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 7  wherein the one or more general cabinets and the fireplace cabinet are arranged in a side-by-side relationship.  
   
   
       14 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 1  wherein the one or more general cabinets and the fireplace cabinet are arranged in a stacked and side-by-side relationship.  
   
   
       15 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 6  wherein the one or more general cabinets and the fireplace cabinet are arranged in a stacked and side-by-side relationship.  
   
   
       16 . The assembly as claimed in  claim 7  wherein the one or more general cabinets and the fireplace cabinet are arranged in a stacked and side-by-side relationship.
