Abstract

A device to support and unwind electrical wire in a manner that prevents the undesired kinking or knotting of such wire. The circular base of the device is supported/suspended by chains of equal length and being equally spaced, with one end of each chain being attached to the base and its opposite end being attached to a swivel ring/hook. An additional chain of slightly greater length having one end is attached to a washer device on the swivel ring/hook and its other end terminates with a feed loop through which the electrical wire is pulled as it is uncoiled and dispensed from the device. The coiled electrical wire is placed onto the base support and the support chains are pulled through the center opening of the coiled wire. During use the device is secured to an overhead beam or pipe by means of the swivel ring/hook. The beginning end of the electrical wire is directed through the feed loop and circular base rotates about the swivel ring/hook as the desired length of electrical wire pulled from the device.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A wire dispensing device comprising:
 a. a flat, rigid base for supporting coils of electrical wire; b. support lines extending from said base converging to a rotatable hanging means; and c. a guide-line with feed-loop attached to said hanging means.

2 . A wire dispensing device as set forth in claim 1 , wherein said base is circular in shape and has a diameter greater than the outside diameter of a coil of electrical wire.

3 . A wire dispensing device as set forth in claim 1 , wherein a plurality of support lines are symmetrically attached with I-bolts around the center of said base.

4 . A wire dispensing device as set forth in claim 3 , wherein said support lines are constructed of metal chain.

5 . A wire dispensing device as set forth in claim 3 , wherein said support lines are constructed of a polymeric rope.

6 . A wire dispensing device as set forth in claim 1 , wherein said support lines extend upward away from said base and converge to a rotatable hanging means.

7 . A wire dispensing device as set forth in claim 6 , wherein said rotatable hanging means is comprised of a swivel-ring/hook component and a freely rotating washer.

8 . A wire dispensing device as set forth in claim 7 , wherein said swivel-ring/hook component is comprised of a “D” ring pivotally attached to a clasp-hook.

9 . A wire dispensing device as set forth in claim 8 , wherein said freely rotating washer is positioned between the said “D” ring and said clasp-hook.

10 . A wire dispensing device as set forth in claim 1 , wherein said guide-line is attached to said rotating washer on said hanging means.

11 . A wire dispensing device as set forth in claim 10 , wherein said guide-line extends downward from said rotating washer to said base and terminates at said feed-loop.

12 . A wire dispensing device as set forth in claim 10 , wherein said guide-line is constructed of metal chain.

13 . A wire dispensing device as set forth in claim 10 , wherein said guide-line is constructed of polymeric rope.
