Abstract

A dispensing pouch comprises at least one polymeric bag or liner, and a polymeric dispensing section. At least one polymeric bag or liner comprises first and second body panels that are joined along a pair of opposing sides and a bottom bridging the sides so as to form an open mouth. The joined first and second body panels form an interior space for collecting items. The polymeric dispensing section is adapted to receive and contain the at least one polymeric bag or liner. The dispensing section is adapted to form an opening to access the at least one polymeric bag or liner. The dispensing section is limited to a predetermined size for enhanced portability. The predetermined size of the dispensing section includes, for example, a length less than about 4 inches and a width less than about 4 inches or an area less than about 15 square inches.

Claims

at least one polymeric bag or liner comprising first and second body panels joined along a pair of opposing sides and a bottom bridging the sides to form an open mouth, the joined first and second body panels forming an interior space for collecting items; and a polymeric dispensing section adapted to receive and contain the at least one polymeric bag or liner, the dispensing section adapted to form an opening to access the at least one polymeric bag or liner, the dispensing section limited to a predetermined size for enhanced portability.

2 . The dispensing pouch of claim 1 , further comprising a header section attached to the dispensing section.

3 . The dispensing pouch of claim 2 , wherein the header section is attached to the polymeric dispensing section via a perforation line.

4 . The dispensing pouch of claim 1 , wherein the dispensing section has a length less than about 4 inches and a width less than about 4 inches.

5 . The dispensing pouch of claim 4 , wherein the dispensing section has a length less than about 3 inches and a width less than about 3 inches.

6 . The dispensing pouch of claim 1 , wherein the dispensing section has an area less than about 15 square inches.

7 . The dispensing pouch of claim 6 , wherein the dispensing section has an area of less than about 10 square inches.

8 . The dispensing pouch of claim 1 , wherein the at least one polymeric bag or liner includes an odor-masking and/or neutralizing agent.

9 . The dispensing pouch of claim 8 , wherein the at least one polymeric bag or liner includes a patch, tape or pouch having an odor-masking and/or neutralizing agent.

10 . The dispensing pouch of claim 9 , wherein the patch, tape or pouch is at least 1 inch by 1 inch.

11 . The dispensing pouch of claim 10 , wherein the patch, tape or pouch has a thickness from about 2 to about 10 mils.

12 . The dispensing pouch of claim 1 , wherein the at least one bag or liner has a thickness from about 0.3 to about 1.5 mils.

13 . The dispensing pouch of claim 1 , wherein the at least one bag or liner is from 6 to 12 bags or liners.

14 . The dispensing pouch of claim 1 , wherein the dispensing section has a removable window formed therein to assist in accessing the at least one bag or liner and a flap to cover the removable window.

15 . The dispensing pouch of claim 14 , wherein the removeable window is removed via a perforation line.

16 . The dispensing pouch of claim 14 , wherein the dispensing section further includes a two-sided resealable adhesive strip that is attached to the flap and the removable window.

17 . A method of using a dispensing pouch comprising:
providing at least one polymeric bag or liner and a polymeric dispensing section adapted to receive and contain the at least one polymeric bag or liner, the at least one polymeric bag or liner comprising first and second body panels joined along a pair of opposing sides and a bottom bridging the sides to form an open mouth, the joined first and second body panels forming an interior space for collecting items, the dispensing section having a removable window formed therein and a flap to cover the removable window, the dispensing section limited to a predetermined size for enhanced portability, grasping and moving the flap to an open position so as to remove the removable window from a remainder of the dispensing section so as to form an opening in the dispensing section; and grasping and removing one of the at least one polymeric bag or liner from the opening.

18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the dispensing section has a length less than about 4 inches and a width less than about 4 inches.
