Toilet roll holders

Abstract

A stabilising bar assembly, to prevent inadvertent unwinding of a toilet roll mounted in a roll holder is disclosed. The bar assembly is intended for insertion into the core of the toilet roll. The bar assembly includes an elongate bar portion, there being finials at each of the opposite ends of the bar portion, the finials being articulate with respect to the bar portion, to allow the stabilising bar to be inserted into the core of the roll and resist the bar from rotating or slipping from the roll. The axes of articulation are parallel, such that they can both hang down at opposite sides of a roll.

A stabilising bar assembly, to prevent inadvertent unwinding of a toilet roll mounted in a roll holder, the bar assembly being for insertion into the core of the toilet roll, the bar assembly including an elongate bar portion ( 10 ), there being finials ( 12 ,  14 ) at each of the opposite ends of the bar portion ( 10 ), the finials ( 12 ,  14 ) being articulate with respect to the bar portion, to allow the stabilising bar to be inserted into the core of the roll ( 20 ) and resist the bar from rotating or slipping from the roll ( 20 ).  
   
   
       2 . A stabilising bar assembly according to  claim 1  in which the bar portion is preferably of such a length as to be slightly greater than the length of the roll core.  
   
   
       3 . A stabilising bar assembly according to  claim 1  in which decorative motifs are carried on the finials.  
   
   
       4 . A stabilising bar assembly according to  claim 1  in which the finials articulate about axes parallel to one another.  
   
   
       5 . A stabilising bar assembly according to  claim 1  in which the bar portion is formed of metal, wood or plastic.  
   
   
       6 . Toilet roll holder apparatus comprising a toilet roll holder and a stabilising bar according to any  claim 1 .  
   
   
       7 . Toilet roll holder apparatus according to  claim 6  in which the toilet roll holder is of a type that has an arm that projects in a cantilever manner from a wall-mounted plate  
   
   
       8 . Toilet roll holder apparatus according to  claim 6  in which the toilet roll holder is of a type that has a bar that is carried between projecting arms, the core being carried for rotation on the bar.
