Method and installation for the production of an aluminum sheet with a textured surface
Abstract
A method for producing a sheet made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, which is provided with a textured surface. According to the method, a cold rolled sheet is fed through the gap between two texturing rollers which are provided with a roughness pattern immediately after exiting a cold rolling mill, and the textured sheet is wound. The roughness pattern is transferred to the surface of the sheet by means of a force acting from the texturing rollers on the sheet. The installation for producing a cold rolled sheet made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, which is provided with a textured surface, comprises a texturing rolling mill that encompasses texturing rollers and is disposed immediately after the cold rolling mill in the running direction (x) of the sheet. The method and installation make is possible to save a separate texturing pass and therefore one roller pass as opposed to methods known in prior art.

13 : A process for producing a strip of aluminium or an aluminium alloy with a textured surface, comprising passing a cold rolled strip immediately after cold rolling through a roll gap of two textured rolls bearing a roughness pattern, wherein the roughness pattern is transferred to the surface of the strip as a result of the force of the textured rolls acting on the strip, and, thereafter, coiling the textured strip.
14 : A process according to claim 13 , including drawing the cold rolled strip through the roll gap wherein the texturing rolls are turned by tension applied to the strip.
15 : A process according to claim 13 , including drawing the texturing rolls.
16 : A process according to claim 13 , including sitting the texturing rolls at a constant roll force.
17 : A process according to claim 13 , including roughing the texturing rolls using the electrical discharge texturing (EDT) method.
18 : A process according to claim 13 , wherein the texturing rolls exhibit a roll grind comprising a plurality of parallel grooves distributed over the outer face of the rolls.
19 : A unit for producing a cold rolled strip of aluminium or an aluminium alloy with a textured surface, comprising a cold rolling mill, and a texturing roll stand with texturing rolls immediately after the cold rolling mill, downstream in the direction of rolling (x).
20 : A unit according to claim 19 , wherein the texturing rolls are connected to a drive facility.
21 : A Unit according to claim 19 , wherein the texturing rolls in the texturing roll stand are supported by intermediate rolls and the intermediate rolls are supported by backing rolls.
22 : A unit according to claim 21 , wherein a plurality of sets of backing rolls are arranged over the width of the intermediate rolls.
23 : A unit according to claim 21 , wherein the backing rolls are connected to hydraulic pistons set at constant force.
