Dual compartment plastic bag

Abstract

The present invention is a flexible plastic bag having reusable and resealable dual compartments such that the bag consists of three layers permanently sealed on three sides creating two sections and having on the fourth side a seal closure that consists of three interlocking strips, one attached to each of the three layers, such that each bag compartment can be sealed and opened separately from the other.

1 . A plastic container with two separate compartments, each said compartment having a resealable closure, said container comprising: 
 a. a plastic container having flexible front, middle, and rear layers attached along the lowermost end of the plastic container and along two side edges;    b. a front layer and rear layer of said plastic container, each said layer having an interlocking sealing closure extending the length of the upper most end of said layers; and    c. a middle layer of said plastic container having one or a plurality of interlocking sealing closures comprised of at least two strips on either side near the top of said middle layer, said closure strips extending the length of the upper most end of said middle layer and capable of being engaged and disengaged with respect to-the corresponding interlocking sealing closures on the front and rear layers of said plastic container.    
   
   
       2 . The container of  claim 1  wherein said middle layer extends above the upper most side of the front and rear layers.  
   
   
       3 . The container of  claim 1  wherein the layers are attached on three sides by means of heat-sealing.  
   
   
       4 . The container of  claim 1  wherein the middle layer has a plurality of ridges positioned on the extended length of the upper most end of said middle layer.  
   
   
       5 . The use of container of  claim 1  for storage of goods.
