Laptop DrawerDrop

Abstract

The Laptop DrawerDrop is a new solution to a computer space problem so there is nothing to compare it to. It is a one piece (excluding the thumbscrew) non-technological accessory for laptops that can be constructed from polymers, hard rubber, leather, or fine woods. The DrawerDrop uses the existing space of a desk without taking up the work surface of the actual desktop or unavailable floor space. It is completely portable and no assembly is required. This invention allows left handed people an option in the placement of their computers.

01 . I claim as my invention the Laptop DrawerDrop which is a platform constructed to use the top drawer of an existing desk to provide a temporary, safe work surface on which to place a laptop in order not to occupy valuable desktop workspace or take up additional floor space.  
   
   
       02 . I claim this invention is easily used by left or right-handed persons.  
   
   
       03 . I claim there is no assembly and no tools are required, choose which side of the desk to use, open the top drawer, drop in the DrawerDrop tighten the thumbscrew.  
   
   
       04 . I claim the length of the unit that extends from the desk body over the opened drawer to the drawer face is nestled beneath the overhang of the desktop to prevent it from being bumped off vertically.  
   
   
       05 . I claim the strip that runs the length of the underside and straddles the inside drawer side panel and the thumbscrew on the opposite side provide stoppage to prevent the unit from slipping off the sides.
