Abstract
A door frame for a vehicle includes a lower frame for guiding an up/down movement of a window glass, a main frame connected to the lower frame for determining a top dead center of the window glass, and a bracket for attaching a door mirror secured to the lower frame and the main frame, the bracket having a bottom portion and a pair of opposing side wall portions extended from both sides of the bottom portion, and each having a thickness thicker than that of the bottom portion.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A door frame for a vehicle comprising:
a lower frame for guiding an up/down movement of a window glass; a main frame connected to the lower frame for determining a top dead center of the window glass; and a bracket for attaching a door mirror secured to the lower frame and the main frame, the bracket having a bottom portion and a pair of opposing side wall portions extended from both sides of the bottom portion, and each having a thickness thicker than that of the bottom portion.
2 . The door frame according to claim 1 , wherein
the bottom portion of the bracket is provided along the same plane as an inner side wall portion of the main frame relative to the vehicle, and wherein an end portion of one of the pair of opposing side wall portions is extended close to a decorative surface provided at an outer side of the main frame.
3 . The door frame according to claim 2 , wherein
the pair of the side wall portions of the bracket is welded together with the main frame and the lower frame respectively.
4 . The door frame according to claim 1 , wherein
the bracket is made of light alloy by casting, and wherein the bracket includes a plurality of ribs projecting in a vehicle width direction.
5 . The door frame according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a center pillar for guiding the up/down movement of the window glass together with the lower frame; and including an outer frame made of light alloy by extrusion and an inner frame made of light alloy by casting as a unit with a lock reinforcement.
6 . The door frame according to claim 4 , wherein
the main frame is made of light alloy by extrusion.
7 . The door frame according to claim 5 , wherein
the main frame is made of light alloy by extrusion.
8 . The door frame according to claim 6 , wherein
the lower frame is made of light alloy by extrusion.
9 . The door frame according to claim 7 , wherein
the lower frame is made of light alloy by extrusion.
10 . The door frame according to claim 6 , wherein
the lower frame is formed as a unit with the bracket.
11 . The door frame according to claim 7 , wherein
the lower frame is formed as a unit with the bracket.
12 . The door frame according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a center pillar for guiding the up/down movement of the window glass together with the lower frame; wherein the bracket is made of light alloy by casting and includes a plurality of ribs projecting in a vehicle width direction, the center pillar includes an outer frame made of light alloy by extrusion and an inner frame made of light alloy by casting as a unit with a lock reinforcement.
13 . The door frame according to claim 5 , wherein
the inner frame of the center pillar includes a hollow portion having an approximately U-shape cross-section and a flat portion, the inner frame further includes a first rib formed as a unit with opposing side wall portions and a bottom wall portion of the hollow portion of the inner frame and a second rib projecting from the flat portion of the inner frame.
14 . The door frame according to claim 7 , wherein
the inner frame includes a hollow portion having an approximately U-shape cross-section and a flat portion, the inner frame further includes a first rib formed as a unit with opposing side wall portions and a bottom wall portion of the hollow portion of the inner frame and a second rib projecting from the flat portion of the inner frame.
15 . The door frame according to claim 12 , wherein
the inner frame includes a hollow portion having an approximately U-shape cross-section and a flat portion, the inner frame further includes a first rib formed as a unit with opposing side wall portions and a bottom wall portion of the hollow portion of the inner frame and a second rib projecting from the flat portion of the inner frame.
16 . The door frame according to claim 13 , wherein
the outer frame of the center pillar includes a stepped portion, and wherein a decorative member secured to the outer frame and the stepped portion of the outer frame determines a position of a groove for guiding the up/down movement of the window glass.
17 . The door frame according to claim 14 , wherein
the outer frame of the center pillar includes a stepped portion, and wherein a decorative member secured to the outer frame and the stepped portion of the outer frame determines a position of a groove for guiding the up/down movement of the window glass.
18 . The door frame according to claim 15 , wherein
the outer frame includes a stepped portion, and wherein a decorative member secured to the outer frame and the stepped portion of the outer frame determines a position of a groove for guiding the up/down movement of the window glass.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
