Single-sheet registration form and key packet

Abstract

A single-sheet registration form and key packet that may be printed on a laser printer or other automated printing device during a registration process conducted by a commercial organization, such as a hotel or motel. The single-sheet registration form and key packet includes lines of perforations for separating the registration form from the key packet and for quickly folding the key packet in order to construct the key packet during the registration process. Additionally, the key-packet portion of the single-sheet registration form and key packet includes dye-cut slots for inserting magnetic key cards and metal keys.

1 . A method for providing a registration form and a key packet to a registree, the method comprising: 
 generating registration information for the registree;    printing the generated registration information onto a single-sheet registration form and unconstructed key packet;    separating the registration form from the unconstructed key packet;    folding the unconstructed key packet to form a constructed key packet; and    presenting the constructed key packet, including a key, to the registree.    
   
   
       2 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the single-sheet registration form and unconstructed key packet comprises: 
 a registration form;    an unconstructed key packet separated from the registration form by a line of perforations, the unconstructed key packet including at most two lines of perforations that allow the unconstructed key packet to be quickly and accurately folded into a complete key packet in two or fewer steps; and    one or more die-cut slots in the unconstructed key packet which serve as a slot or slots to hold a number of keys in the complete key packet.    
   
   
       3 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the single-sheet registration form and unconstructed key packet is pre-printed with textual and graphical information.  
   
   
       4 . The method of  claim 1  further including printing the generated registration information onto a single-sheet registration form and unconstructed key packet on an electronic a printing device.  
   
   
       5 . The method of  claim 4  further including generating registration information for the registree using a computer or computer terminal to enter registration information into an electronic form, which is then forwarded from the computer or computer terminal to the electronic printing device.  
   
   
       6 . The method of  claim 4  wherein the electronic printing device is a laser printer.
