Line-of-sight putters and methods

Abstract

Novel putters, and related methods, by which beginning, intermediate and advanced golfers are trained, retrained, corrected and improved in their respective putting skills in the game of golf are disclosed. The putters each comprise a light reflecting member by which the image of a golf ball is reflected to the eyes of the golfer for better alignment of the putterhead in relation to the golf ball before and during a putt.

       20 . A golf putter comprising a shaft and a fastener-free combination comprising a putterhead and a non-adjustable reflective member formed integrally as one piece with the putterhead whereby a golfer is able to visually align the putterhead and a golf ball to be putted by viewing reflections from the non-fastened, non-adjustable reflective member between the ball and the eyes of the golfer.  
   
   
       21 . The golf putter according to  claim 20  wherein the reflective member is selected from the group consisting of reflective glass, reflective synthetic resinous material, and reflective metal.  
   
   
       22 . The golf putter according to  claim 20  wherein the reflective member comprises at least one alignment indicia to assist in establishing and retaining correct alignment between the putterhead and the golf ball before and during the putt.  
   
   
       23 . A putter golf club comprising: 
 a shaft;    a combination putterhead/reflective line-of-sight element form together as one piece and connected to the shaft at the putterhead only;    the putterhead comprising a top and a ball-striking front surface;    the reflective line-of-sight element being fastener-free, extending upward from the top of the putterhead comprising a single non-adjustable reflective front surface disposed at an angle to both the vertical and the horizontal, without connection to the shaft and non-alignable, but congruently permanently aligned with the ball striking front surface of the putterhead.
