Abstract

A magnesium alloy includes 6-12% by weight of aluminum, 0.05-4% by weight of calcium, 0.5-4% by weight of rare earth elements, 0.05-0.50% by weight of manganese, 0.1-14% by weight of tin, balance magnesium and inevitable impurities.

1 . A magnesium alloy comprising: 
 6-12% by weight of aluminum;    0.05-4% by weight of calcium;    0.5-4% by weight of rare earth elements;    0.05-0.50% by weight of manganese;    0.1-14% by weight of tin;    balance magnesium; and    inevitable impurities.    
     
     
         2 . The magnesium alloy according to  claim 1 , wherein 
 the calcium is 0.05-2% by weight.    
     
     
         3 . The magnesium alloy according to  claim 1 , wherein 
 the calcium is greater than 2% and equal to or less than 4% by weight.    
     
     
         4 . The magnesium alloy according to  claim 1 , wherein 
 the rare earth elements are 0.5-2% by weight.    
     
     
         5 . The magnesium alloy according to  claim 2 , wherein 
 the rare earth elements are 0.5-2% by weight.    
     
     
         6 . The magnesium alloy according to  claim 3 , wherein 
 the rare earth elements are 0.5-2% by weight.    
     
     
         7 . A magnesium alloy comprising: 
 6-12 by weight of aluminum;    0.05-4% by weight of calcium;    0.5-4% by weight of rare earth elements;    0.05-0.50% by weight of manganese;    0.1-14% by weight of tin;    at least any one of 0.05-0.2% by weight of zirconium and 0.03-0.2% by weight of carbon;    balance magnesium; and    inevitable impurities.    
     
     
         8 . The magnesium alloy according to  claim 1 , wherein 
 the tin is 0.1-8% by weight.    
     
     
         9 . The magnesium alloy according to  claim 2 , wherein 
 the tin is 0.1-8% by weight.    
     
     
         10 . The magnesium alloy according to  claim 3 , wherein 
 the tin is 0.1-8% by weight.    
     
     
         11 . The magnesium alloy according to  claim 4 , wherein 
 the tin is 0.1-8% by weight.    
     
     
         12 . The magnesium alloy according to  claim 5 , wherein 
 the tin is 0.1-8% by weight.    
     
     
         13 . The magnesium alloy according to  claim 6 , wherein 
 the tin is 0.1-8% by weight.    
     
     
         14 . The magnesium alloy according to  claim 7 , wherein 
 the tin is 0.1-8% by weight.    
     
     
         15 . The magnesium alloy according to  claim 1 , wherein 
 the magnesium alloy is utilized in any one of a die casting, a gravity die casting, a sand casting, and a high pressure die casting.    
     
     
         16 . The rhagnesium alloy according to  claim 7 , wherein 
 the magnesium alloy is utilized in any one of a die casting, a gravity die casting, a sand casting, and a high pressure die casting.
